Q I don’t play golf, but I watched the recent Ryder Cup unfold and was struck by how Europe’s team appeared more supportive and united than America’s. Were there lessons that I as a business owner could take from this, or is sport just different?
A I agree. Europe’s teamwork stole the show in New York. The tournament did offer lessons that apply to many aspects of business; not just teamwork, but also leadership, resilience, focus, preparation, and the value of purpose.
