Taking place at the historic Delhi Golf Club and co-sanctioned with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), the DP World India Championship underscores India’s growing influence as a destination for elite golf. Career Grand Slam winner McIlroy makes his first appearance in India this week with a return to competitive action after helping Europe win the Ryder Cup at Bethpage. He’s a fine player this lad. Look at that. That’s a birdie birdie start for him. Another fairway hit. Lawrence an up and down. Yeah, a victory up in the mountains of Craw. Not much else to shout about. He can tell his mates over dinner about that one. Really is a very tight pin on that first hole here. Third shot. That’ll do now. Hland for his birdie which he finds. Good start. Three shots better than his playing partner by Jove. I haven’t heard that for a long time. Thinking the same thing as it came out of my mouth. Nice putt there from Tristan. Maroy now. Oh, don’t want to know for birdies, do they? It was Hopland to the second. Absolute gem. Let’s find the car for me, boss. How do I be saying? Let’s pop it in. Why not? Why not? Cracking it. Just keep it inside the hole. inside the hole now. Seven in down. It’s an excellent start for Larry. that moving to 11 under five is nice. Two birdies to start with. Early attempt to Fitzpatrick at the second. Very nice part of the first. Bley at the second on his way 14 under. Looking for a four here. Mroy at the par five to get to 11 under. [Music] He does well. For an opening birdie Fleetwood. Yes, please. He’s within one. If Jaden Schaer played beautifully in the hills of Madrid last week, top five there. And another birdie on the way. [Applause] Tidy one as well. It’s amazing to hear about it. So amazing the plight of Fleetwood down the second hole. Just the one shot dropped. To break left to right, but I think the grain’s going to hold it up some. Yes, you were right there, Jay. [Applause] Wow, beautiful. Thirdly of the day. Did have a drop shot to third as you can see in that card there. Pretty much dead over there in the jungle. So, we jump up to Hillia here at five. That’s an excellent shot. He’s two under through the first four holes. Chance he’s going to be three under through five that you’re kind of disappointed if you don’t make a three here right now on this hole. Very friendly. The powers would be splended. Yes, an important move away from that top 110. Not sure that he’d really threaten it, but Nakajima is in for a birdie to 18 underpar. He moves and a lot of players moving upward on the leaderboard, including Daniel Hillier, who’s just taken another step towards Ka Nakajima, his third of the day. Eddie at the ninth for Lawrence. 12 under P. 12 under piles back in the tie for 13th. Now lift him up a little bit. The 11th finding the green. Birdie chance again. [Applause] TV tower at the back with a six on it. The flag is just to the right of that [Music] [Applause] out there. What a sharp. What a day he’s having so far today. Three under through five. Tommy likes a little meditation as well. [Music] Tracking and buried for Tommy Fleetwood. Hillia at the seventh. This downhill left to right putt to tie the lead. Does he? Oh, beautiful. Five birdies in the first seven holes. If this jumps, it’s over the back. I think over the back is better than short. Great shot. Like a great shot. Just enough to cover up. They really do. When they missed, they looked like they should have gone in out of his left. Not to be that time round. An average day on tour is about 80 ft. A good day is about 100 ft and he has been over 100 every single day this week. Nakajima less than a handful. try and find one there. Fitzpatrick and find his first win. He’s managed on the challenge tour. Few more like that for the right time. He might manage it on the big boy tour. And just like that, how quickly things can change in a final round. Beautifully done at 15. Short pile four this one. That’s a chance. [Applause] Gently downhill and then slightly up the whole side. which would have been a great read up. Just hung out there for Fleetwood. Nonetheless, he’s going to tap this in for another birdie. He is back within one of the lead. He’s found it. might prove to be a crucial par five from 125 yds. His second shot in flag on the left hand side. What a lovely shot that is. What a great chance to extend his lead. 20 ft right of it. [Music] That will be the target. [Music] inside the right for his birdie on 10. Oh, he finds the man to catch. Now is to finish the front nine from Fleetwood. Man, Tommy Fleetwood who might have got a little read off Nakajima. Not many. Well, he’s taken full advantage. That putter is on fire. 12th hole. Fitzpatrick to see if he can get to 16 under. A good part on the last and he’s followed that in as well. Excellent stuff. [Applause] 71 for Mighty and right now he’s tied 25th, but just wasn’t quite his week. Two shots flipped from Fleetwood. Didn’t see that coming. That’ll give Nakajima some encouragement. You may like that right up. Plenty of turn is delightfully dispatched. That is a bogey gone missing and a double now for Daniel Hillier. It’s bizarre when you they always seem to finish with a three putt when you’re in a bad hole. [Applause] A big time birdie for Alex Fitzpatrick there. Can he make it? Am I mortal blow tumbling down to 17 under par 75 the last two holes for a two stroke lead. [Music] There you go. That’s exactly what Fwood has. down the last now with Havland. Stylish. [Applause] It’s just a wonderful finish. Put me down for a three 17 under. Go begging for it. Placed it. Stuck it tails in. Nope. Nope. [Applause] But Tommy is slamming the door here in India. Can he keep pace with the lead up this time? He can. He can with that stroke. Three others in you. You go. Yeah, so he moves up to third. Shar 68. He had a few missed putts there. [Applause] This to win by three. It’s going to be two, but it still belongs to him. Tommy Fleetwood is the first name edged on the Lotus Trophy. He is the DP World India Champion for 2025. Tommy, a huge congratulations. You’ve just gained your eighth DP World Tour win at the DP World India Championship. How does that feel? Yeah, lovely. Um it you know it was actually at the start of the week I think last well done actually since Ryder Cup you know a few questions about uh I hadn’t made it to the uh final two events of the year and things like I hadn’t qualified anyway and um and I said like I feel like for all the good that’s happened this year a couple of things have disappointing me that my sort of DP world DP world tour year sort of has. So um yeah another win feels great. It’s the second win of the season. And you said to me at the start of the week that you had more things to achieve this year, a win being one of them, but how extra special is it that it’s a win in front of Frankie for the first time? Well, he um so we were at home last week and we were driving the buggy. I think we were playing golf together and he says uh he just said randomly, he said, “Hey, do you know what you’ve never done?” So, he’s never won a tournament and then I’ve been able to run onto the 18th green and I was like, “I’m writing that down.” So, uh I had that written down all week. Um like I said, it’s just another opportunity really. there’s going to be many more times where I hopefully get the chance to do that. But that was like all day today had in my mind uh you know could I put myself in a position where I can actually make that moment happen. So it’s just one of those little things. It means a lot to me like it means so much to me. Um and that was that was really cool. That’s what I wanted to do all day. That’s what was in your mind was it across course of the back n um I want to touch on golf specific. There was that clutch pass save at 11 which felt like momentum wise was a big difference for you and obviously coming off the back of yesterday afternoon we spoke about putting and how it was a little frustrating in the back nine but what a brilliant response and in terms of what you can take from this round from this win is putting and a response to what happened on Saturday quite a big part of that yeah of course everything’s an opportunity to uh respond in the best way you can whether it’s good or bad and I said yesterday I felt like I puted great yesterday except for that four five hole stretch practiced afterwards and I actually um again you look at opportunities It’s the first hole today. I had a six-footer on the first left to right and I I actually thought at the time I thought this is a great way to start like a different day like get some momentum with the putt. I feel good with it. I put it amazing today. I really really did. Um that wasn’t going to reach the hole in the last I was just cozying that one up. Um, but yeah, I I put it amazing and down the stretch I felt like I hold some great puts, like mid-range puts, but like you say, I felt like after gaining some momentum, just that one 11, um, I hit a couple of poor shots there, 11 and 12, but that put was big and managed to just keep it going throughout the back nine. Um, you seem to be the king of responding to things both in a micro level of responding to what happened putting wise on uh, Saturday and on a grander scale of coming close so many times and getting the win at the tour championship. just give us an insight into your mindset because I know you’ve spoken on family and being a leader within your family and the example that you want to set before. Is that would you say the thing that creates that superpower for you? I think so. Yeah, I think um everybody needs something to push them or to motivate them. I um yeah, I pride myself on trying to have the best attitude possible at all times. And yeah, there’s plenty of times when things haven’t gone my way. Um but you know, last two tournaments I’ve been in contention everyone, so maybe things are starting to even out a little bit. I just uh yeah, I I just I I I love working on my game. I love uh having all these experiences which help me sort of pass it down to my kids or to anybody that uh is interested in listening because I feel like I’ve got, you know, information to give there through all those through all those things. So yeah, I um like I say, I just want to give myself the best possible chance of playing well each and every week. So that’s that goes from practice to how you think to how you are and that’s all I try and do really. Yeah, we are very interested in listening and watching. It’s been a joy. Tommy, we’ll let you go celebrate with the family. Thanks, Annie. Thank you. Thank you. Congratulations. Thank you very much. It’s a big one. It’s a beautiful Thank you so much. Pick it up. 3. Is that course considered an easier one for these guys ? I mean darts and long putts galore!

  4. Was watching Tommy and Grant and these golfers just take from eachother and improve. Saw the win coming from a mile back! Congrats Tommy!

  5. Luiten was up at the top of the leaderboard. However, the recap showed exactly one of his shots. Other players much lower got much more coverage. Why is that?
