Um last time we were at Talladega, we had a somewhat controversial finish that resulted in Austin Hill winning and Jeb Burton getting snubbed. Um it’s no secret both Austin Hill and his teammate Jesse Love, who’s on poll for today, are the favorites. But who knows, it might be different. I mean, keep in mind also just friendly reminder, uh, we had a firsttime winner yesterday in Gio Rogerro. I think I can’t guarantee we’ll see one today, but you just never know what these what these plate races will be like. Um, let’s see. Um, again, Jesse Love is on pole. Um, William Solich and Christian Ekis who start second third can also get their first win today. Same can go for Carson Quaple. You also got Jeb Burton up there. He’s the one almost got one back in the spring. Um Brendan Queen will run these LA do these last three Exfinity races of the season for Collie Racing. Um, speaking of Brendan Queen, um, it was announced recently that he will race fulltime in the trucks next year for Colleague Racing’s um, Dodge Ram team. So, I wish him the best next year. So, yeah. That’s something you do later in the race later in stage three when you’re really trying to make up time make happen through there towards the win. But at this point, you know, I think one of the reasons you saw Sheldon sort of check up there was he was trying to play a little bit when he caught flag it in the back of the updated standings here with these drivers that have received damage. A lot of times when you see emotion, it’s not just the race car drivers, but for the athletes in general, it’s because of how hard they’ve worked to get there. Everything that they sacrificed, everything that they’ve done, and when you finally get that that major success or that huge win, it’s like just a sigh of relief and the emotions sometimes overtake you and living up to the dream that you’ve set out to accomplish. you know, everything it takes to go after this and your family. You mentioned his family what they put into it, especially in the motorsports realm. It really takes a full commitment from the whole family to go after this and try to make it into a career. And with this season, he’s had the ups and downs and everything that’s occurred this year. I definitely would not blame him for being emotional. He’s in around the bay. So is his teammate Sammy Smith. They’re just outside the top 10 as we sit here under the red flag. Sammy Smith came in 24 below the cut line. No margin for error and watch this accident through the trial. Three of the playoff drivers may have a slight advantage in the back of the pack. So you don’t have to look behind you where all the cars in front of you are headed where they’re sort of going as they get into each other. Go, okay, this is the path I’m going to go towards. It’s those cars in the middle of that path that we say the danger zone. The reason being it’s not because it’s most likely where the wreck will occur. But for if you’re trying to avoid it, you have something behind you that can run back force. If you run towards the back, gives you a little bit more time. Got to agree with Brian there. It’s been a tough season for them. Seems like anything that could go wrong has gone wrong at times for that race team. But I agree with him on the fact that you know that 13 you’re not expecting a lot of pushing. It’s just too dangerous. The car is something you see late stage three or the end of a stage in terms of going for the points at that point of time because the cars are just so hard to push through there. It’s a massive risk that you take through there. I think what caused a lot of this was Shelton playing it a little bit safe trying not to get the back bumper of Sage and Jim just didn’t react quick enough to check up we continue under red with that have an opportunity to go over the CW garage and say good afternoon to yeah holding things down here in the CW garage so far but a lot happening in the sport earlier this week to get to in the series this immediately announce. He said, “Yes, of course.” You’d be crazy not to take this. He’s worked so hard his whole career for this opportunity. And he added, “Adam, I’d love nothing more than to end this time, his time at JRM with another championship.” And so these next couple of weeks mean even more for that 17. Yeah. Pullman told me this week, Carlo, that he’s looking forward to working with a couple of the Hall of Famers next year at NASCAR’s top level. But I just think of the residual impact in 2026. All these changes in Junior Motorsports 25 has been magnificent, but that organization is going to look totally different next season. Definitely will. And I think for Jim Coleman, this is something you always want to do is to race on Sundays and go have that opportunity. It’s a shame for Justin. Of course, with all they put together, I feel like Justin really handpicked him and wanted him to be the crew chief of the seven car. It led to finally getting that championship. That’s going to be tough to replace and big risk for some people, I think, in terms of going to work with Kyush trying to get back. I’m of the opinion Kyush still can’t get back to you. You zoom in on that headset just a little bit. You see Jim Coleman’s nickname right there. They call him Poo Bear. Great guy. He’s been around forever in the sport. He’s worked on a lot of teams that that I’ve been a part of. I remember when he was a tire changer. I think it’s really cool. We saw that the comments, you know, American story. Same thing for these crew chiefs, right? He started out he’s raced a little bit, but he’s worked his way to go and work with a guy like good for him. I think everyone general is thrilled for Jim. They’re going to reire the engines, lift the red flag, go back under caution as we wait things out here back to the care center and that’s right. Jeremy Clemens said he came out shaking your head. He looked at me unreal. What was your take on that incident and then what took you out of the race? You drove the car behind the wall. It did not look that bad. Yeah, I didn’t even bring a sweat. I know we were coming up on that car, the 74 and we were all trying to get by and I saw the 20 get jacked up and then from there that was I was just in the middle of it. So, I still haven’t seen the replay, but uh yeah, it’s just unfortunate. And once we started going back, I missing about half brake rotors had no brakes. But what I would say is this comes at an interesting time and the fact that the red flag is out puts everything on hold. It opens the door. once we go back to yellow to open the pit lane and maybe some drivers come down and get their service here and stay out to gain some track position for the final stage when we get the yellow here in a handful of laps to wrap stage two. So, so two compelling things that could unfold here for these race teams as we look toward the end of this second stage. And that decision gets easier based on where you’re running at. If you’re in the front, you’re making stage points, you obviously would like to stay out. If you’re towards the back of the pack on the lead, that gives you a great option if you don’t think you can get stage points. I think the one thing right now is we’ve had two massive in laps. There’s not as many competitive cars still left here. As we get this race back going, we’ll see a smaller pack of competitive cars at the front here that will make a different, you know, those decisions a little bit what you’re doing. And when we do get back, it makes it different in terms of the energy of cars that are not normally up front running up there. So, it’s the decisions different up front. So, it really changes things. It also makes it harder to go from the back to the front. Even though you have less cars, would you think it’d be less cars at the pass? When you have less cars on the track, you can’t get all three of those lanes working. So that’s unfortunate. Um then we had another wreck involving Moax Salt and Dean Thompson’s. Um but it was the racing was good. It wasn’t too bad. I mean in the final sta stages one and two were eventful especially towards the latter end. Of course the red flags were lengthy but reasonable. The final stage was mostly freight train racing, but could you honestly blame them? I mean, they were they were just trying to beat the darkness, which they did. Um Um So yeah. Um then of course there was the the record and Daniel died that facilitate overtime. Wasn’t meant to be, but that’s just how it is. Um drivers were close on fuel. I was surprised the 21 actually made it. Sometimes I pray for things like this to happen in hopes that we get an a firsttime winner of some capacity, but just wasn’t meant to be. I mean, we almost did with Quaple, um Perkins, and Leland Honeyman. Unfortunately, the fuel held up for Austin Hill, so he end up doing the season sweep, which is unfortunate. But like I said, it doesn’t bother it doesn’t bother me too much, especially knowing that Austin Hill is already eliminated, so he’s got like nothing to lose. Um, and yep, we almost had it. First time winner, but on the bright side, we beat Darkness. So, yeah. And once again, man, Caesar Bakarella, fifth place. This is not his first top 10 finish, by the way. Think he has one at Daytona from a few years ago. Um, I mean, Kawapple, Echis, Backrella, Perkins, Red Slop, Honeyman, all could have been first time winners. So, yeah, but at least it’s nice to at least we ended this race knowing that some small teams got good finishes by which is a good thing. So, I’ll envy that.
