ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Golden Grizzlies are set to compete in their final competition of the fall at the Powercat Invitational in Manhattan, KS.
The invitational will be held at the Colbert Hills Golf Club, which has hosted approximately 375,000 rounds on its championship course since opening in the 2000s. The par-72 course at Kansas State University will play at 6,446 yards for rounds one and two, and will play at 6,342 yards for round three.
Sixteen teams will participate in the Powercat Invitational: Kansas State, Bethune-Cookman, Bowling Green, Bradley, Cincinnati, Incarnate Word, Lindenwood, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, Tarleton State, and Wichita State.
Oakland’s roster includes Olivia Hemmila, Lily Bargamian, Grace Boczar, Paige Scott, and Logan Bentley, with Channing Hagen competing as an individual. This marks Oakland’s first appearance at the Powercat Invitational, which debuted in 2024.
The Golden Grizzlies are coming off their best finish of the fall, finishing third at the Bradley Coyote Classic. Hemmila has led the team in the past three invitationals, where she and Boczar both tied ninth at Bradley. The team will face three programs they have already seen this season, including Bradley for the third time in five invitationals.
Action begins both Monday and Tuesday at 8:30 A.M. (CT) with a shotgun start at the Colbert Hills GCS. The invitational will feature 36 holes on Monday, with the final round of 18 on Tuesday.
