And yet, this kid, still in high school, is outdriving PGA Tour veterans. And here’s the kicker. Almost nobody notices. That teenager was Michael Thorbjornson. And now, just a few years later, he’s officially on the PGA Tour, right where he was always meant to be. Michael’s story isn’t just about talent. It’s about persistence. Family roots that stretch across continents and a rise so steady it almost slipped under the radar. And that’s what makes him so fascinating because when coaches, players, and even seasoned veterans talk about Michael Thorbjornson, they don’t just see another young golfer. Michael was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 2001, but his background is global. His father, Thorbjorn, is from Norway, while his mother, Sandra Chiang, was born in Zimbabwe and played college golf at Urselene College in Ohio.
