Kā’anapali Golf Courses – Open And Welcoming Guests

There’s been some confusion since the uh PGA Tour announced the Sentry won’t be played in Maui this January, but here’s the truth. As I’m told, Kopali golf courses are open and ready for you. Located on Maui’s iconic West Coast, Kopali Royal and Kai Courses are in fantastic conditions, offering stunning views of the Pacific and West Maui mountains. Maui is open, thriving, and filled with aloha with 13 places to stay, 45 dining options, and worldclass events happening this fall like Hawaii Food and Wine Festival and the Kanopali Classic by Outrigger. So don’t cancel your book, your golf trip. Book it. Experience the magic of Kopali. It’s beautiful.

With the recent announcement by the PGA TOUR that The Sentry golf tournament will not be played in Maui in January 2026 many are inaccurately assuming that all Maui communities and golf courses are in similar situations. The Kā’anapali Golf Courses – also located on West Maui – are open and welcoming guests, all while still following water restrictions and allocations determined by the state and county.

“Since the PGA TOUR’s announcement, it’s important for potential visitors to know that Maui’s other golf courses, hotels and recreational areas are open to everyone for fall and winter vacations,” said Kā’anapali Golf Courses General Manager Karl Reul.

Located along Maui’s famed Kā’anapali Coast, Kā’anapali’s Golf Courses two 18-hole layouts, Royal and Kai, offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and West Maui Mountains. Royal Kā’anapali is six weeks post-aeration and is in pristine condition as the course prepares to host a high-profile collegiate tournament this October.

“Maui is welcoming visitors with aloha and golfers can rest assured that Maui continues to offer incredible opportunities to play,” said Sherry Duong, Executive Director, Maui Visitors & Convention Bureau. “Kā‘anapali Golf delivers an unforgettable experience, paired with the resort’s world-class hospitality, and remains an integral part of what makes Maui a premier golf destination. We encourage you to book your golf travel with confidence and look forward to welcoming you to the fairways.”

Kā’anapali is a three-mile slice of paradise “Where the World Comes to Play” with 13 unique places to stay and 45 dining options. This fall, Kā’anapali will host the Hawai’i Food & Wine Festival October 24 – 26, the Kā’anapali Classic by OUTRIGGER, one of America’s marquee men’s collegiate tournaments October 26 – 29, and the Southwest Maui Invitational (formally Maui Jim Invitational) golf tournament on November 23rd.

“The magic of Kā’anapali lies in the incredible combination of natural beauty and world-class amenities,” said Shelley Kekuna, Executive Director of the Kā’anapali Beach Resort Association.” Our championship golf courses, which offer stunning views of the Pacific and year-round events and programming, are a major part of what makes this destination so special and contribute to Kā’anapali’s status as the place “where the world comes to play”. The ability for visitors to step off the beach and onto a world-class fairway is truly unique, and it’s this unparalleled experience that keeps us proudly ranked among the best beaches in America year after year.”
