My dad just mentioned that he needs a new fairway driver. I’m not sure what that even is, but I want to get him one for his birthday. I’d say he’s an intermediate but quite experienced golfer—he used to play a lot more but now only plays on occasion. I’ve attached a picture of his current golf set for reference to the types of clubs he uses.

I think he might want to replace the old grey club the driver is decent the ping he wanted a fairway wood so that might be a 3 wood or a 5 I can’t say cause I can’t read the club it’s the old 1 that has titanium written on it

I can’t find the edit button, but apologies for the low quality picture. I’m not sure why the resolution dropped when I posted. Also, I realized I misunderstood what he wanted it is not a driver—it is a fairway wood. I apologize again, I do not understand anything about golf or the clubs.

The clubs that are in the picture are:

    Ping G425 Max driver 10.5

Callaway golf club Low C.G. Titanium Structured Delta S.L. 500 Oversized Alloy #3

    PING Anser putter

    Callaway X HOT Iron Set

most likely he wants a new fairway wood and not a new driver, since that driver is pretty new compared to the rest of the bag. check out the same line as the driver (ping g425 fw3 or fw5). should be available for around 150-250$ used.

note that you need to take into consideration which shaft flex he needs so that you dont give him a senior flex when he swings 100mph+ or x-stiff when he swings 65mph

Another thing. Look the driver shaft and see if it has a label like R or regular or Senior or Stiff.

    He wants a fairway wood.
    I would think about a 3 wood. 3HL. 4 wood. Or 5 wood

A matching ping 425 would be excellent
