BILOXI, Miss. – The No. 4 Ole Miss men’s golf team sits in second after round one at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational. The Rebels posted (278, -10) with four players scoring in red figures Saturday.
Cohen Trolio had the low round of the day for Ole Miss posting five-under 67. The Mississippi native started fast with a birdie on his opening hole and would add six more circles to his card in round one. Trolio sits tied for second heading into Sunday’s second round.
Cameron Tankersley shot three-under 69 and is tied for seventh after 18 holes at Fallen Oak. The round of 69 marked Tankersley’s fifth round in the 60s this fall.
Tom Fischer and Michael La Sasso both shot one-under in their opening rounds. It is La Sasso’s first start since competing in the Sanderson Farms Championship Oct. 2-5, in Jackson.
Daniel Tolf posted two-over 74 in round one.
