Golf prodigy Catherine ‘CJ’ Andino is eagerly anticipating partnering with “super sweet” Kai Trump at Miami. It comes after Kai made a career announcement that could leave Travis Kelce upset.

Bonding over their shared passion for the sport with her grandfather, President Donald Trump, Kai sharpened her abilities across Trump’s vast network of golf courses. The 18-year-old has utilized these facilities to maximize the remarkable chance to master the game as she pursues a professional career.

Kai has earned a scholarship to compete for the University of Miami, though her tenure with the Hurricanes won’t commence until 2026. She has already landed her inaugural NIL partnership, collaborating with energy drink company Accelerator Active Energy.

With Kai scheduled to arrive at Miami this upcoming fall, the Hurricanes have simultaneously recruited another of golf’s most talented emerging athletes to their 2027 recruiting class. At merely 16 years old, Andino has already made her mark with numerous championship victories and even holds a course record.

Last month, Andino – currently a high school sophomore – committed to the University of Miami’s golf program after receiving numerous offers from schools nationwide. She’s thrilled about joining Miami and the opportunity to compete alongside Kai, whose enrollment will generate additional spotlight for the program.

“I think it’s going to be all good things,” Andino told The Daily Mail. “I’ve met her once before, and she’s a super sweet girl, which is most important.

“The kind of person she is, I think, is going to be really good for Miami to have her and to bring attention there. I’m looking forward to it.”

Kai claims to be part of Callaway Next, which is described as “the next generation of Callaway Tour Pros.”

It will be fascinating and thrilling to witness how the two rising stars perform together on the course.

During 2024, Andino captured the First Tee Miami Doral Jr. Classic and the South Florida PGA Jr. Tour championships, along with the South Bend Regional on Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry’s Underrated Golf Tour.

She has already claimed the Florida State Golf Association Jr. Amateur Match Play crown this year.

The teen even holds the women’s course record at The Park West Palm Beach, Florida, carding a stunning 62 on the 6,111-yard track.

This sits just one stroke behind the men’s record established by former Masters winner Adam Scott.

When questioned about what she views as her greatest accomplishment so far, Andino revealed: “I would say committing to the University of Miami was definitely big, because it’s something I’ve been working on from a young age.”
