MATHEWS, La. – The Nicholls State University men’s golf team will host its annual LaTour Intercollegiate at the LaTour Golf Club on Monday (Oct. 20) and Tuesday.
Nicholls will be one of 14 programs to take on the 7,177 yard par 72 course. Also competing will be Southland members East Texas A&M, HCU, New Orleans, Southeastern and UIW, along with Jackson State, Loyola University New Orleans, Midland College, Prairie View A&M, South Dakota, Southern, Spring Hill College, and Texas Southern.
Monday’s play will consist of 36 holes and the final round on Tuesday will be 18 holes.
Coach James Schilling will have all 10 golfers participate in the tournament. For the A-Team, the lineup will be James Bould, Jack Moro, Alston Manne, Kyle Traub, and Chase Pochylko. The B-Team consists of Robert Leo Arnorsson, Dylan Weber, Zachary Morvant, Ethan Marx, and Elliot Aucoin.
In last year’s LaTour, Pochylko paced the Colonels with a 215 and a 14th-place finish. Nicholls took seventh as a team while South Dakota took the team crown.
