This is big for the local economy. Lots of jobs will be available soon in Hudson, NH.

The Green Meadow Golf Club in Hudson, New Hampshire was purchased by Target for a distribution Center back in 2023, according to an article from the Union Leader. At the time of the sale, the Golf Club’s website had this to say:

Thank you for a wonderful 61 years! Green Meadow has been sold and will not reopen this season. We hope you continue to visit our family’s other properties and keep playing golf!

They went on to list the other golf clubs that the family owns like, the Overlook Golf Club, Whip Poor Will Golf Club, World Cup, Souhegan, Cape Cod and the Country Club of New Hampshire.

The update of the story is that plans are in place to have the Target Distribution Center complete in 2026.

The work is being done by Clayco, who state from their website, is believed to be the biggest construction project New Hampshire has ever had.  The distribution Center is a 1.4 MILLION square foot center.  What the heck?  If you end up working there, let’s just say you’ll get your steps in.

Clayco said there will be bridges built over wetlands as to respect the wildlife and they said the project will create approximately 2,100 jobs in the area.

Hudson, New Hampshire is Quintessential New England

Hudson, New Hampshire, if you are not familiar, is a really cute town.  It’s not as busy as Nashua which is the next town over.

This video is dated, but it does show the town and all it’s New England charm.

This really will be great for Hudson.  I remember when Raymond, NH, where I live, got the Walmart Distribution Center.  Lots of people got good jobs there.
