Yeah, you feel good about some length from Woo. There’s no question about that. Would love some early run support as well. Brian Woo getting the ball tonight for the Mariners. Coming off a quality start already on this home stand. An all-star this year for the first time in his career. Swing and a miss and Brian Woo strikes out Mike Trout to begin the ball game tonight. A good Bolton 97. Well, this is not unusual right here. Brian Woo going right after Mike Trout. We talked about it a couple of days ago. The way to get him out is across the top of the zone. And that kind of plays right into Brian Woo’s strategy with that good fast ball that’s got that little bit of extra life. Swing and a miss for strike three. Couple of strikeouts in him. One, two, three first for Brian Woo. Two two. Swing and a miss. Good back foot breaking ball. There is out number one. Oh, that was pretty filthy. Welcome to the big leagues, Denzor Guzman. There is out number two. Yeah, this one he’s trying to go on the outside part, but it backs up a little bit. Stays right on the inside corner. Guzman unable to pull the trigger. A long hold. The one two. He got him. 98. His best yet to our left, but two come home. This game is tied. There’s a strike out to Manata. And and when you’re having to cover almost 13 miles an hour difference, right, from the fast ball to the change up, you you have to look either one or the other. You can’t cover both of those pitches cuz you wouldn’t have had that protect motion. Six strikeouts for Woo. He punches Adele’s ticket and tires the side in order. Got him. Breaking ball just off the plate. The strikeouts starting to stack up now for Brian Woo. That’s his seventh. This is a good slider right here. Late break tight as he gets more out in front and way ahead for strike three. I short changed him. That’s his eighth. Swing and a miss. 96 up and away. Nine punch outs. Brian Woo has matched a careerhigh through only four innings. Another one, two. He froze him. A career night for Allstar Brian Woo. He knows it. He’s got 10 punch outs for the first time ever. [Music] [Applause] I tell you what, his catcher knows something special happened there as well. Take a look at this. As soon as he swings and misses, what does Cal do? Go ahead and save that ball, folks. He knows that it is a careerhigh for Brian Woo. Strike three call. A career night continues for Brian Woo. Strike out number 11. Oh, and this is just not a fair pitch. Watch this swing back. Monata takes it immediately because that pitch is about four or five inches inside and it swings back over the plate. There is nothing you can do with that pitch. The two- two swing and a miss. A pump of a fist for Brian Woo. A dozen strikeouts tonight. Cal Raleigh having to flip a lot of baseballs over to get saved for career strikeouts. Another good pitch right there. A slider down and away. Just nasty. How can Woo finish his night? 95 pitches facing the power threat Nadell. He is homered tonight. What does Woo have left in the tank here? Good start. Adele calls time already. [Applause] Nine wins at home this year for Woo, the last Mariner with double digits at home, Felix in 2015. It’s pretty pretty good company right there. the 2-1. This gets out of play now. This likely the last batter for Woo one way or another. Will it end the sixth or bring out Bazardo? New bat for Adele. Yeah, that last fast ball got enough in the kitchen of Adele to snap that bat. Can we find another time to do the wave, please? Not a wave fan. What are we doing? [Applause] Woo! A strike away from his 13th punch out tonight. One out away from a full six. His 2-2. He struck him out. What a night. Brian Woo. 13 strikeouts, six innings of pure domination when the Mariners needed him the most.

  1. 8 in a row punctuated with another dominant start from this years most consistent Ace for ‘my M’s!’ He has been “the Stopper,” a “tour de force,” and frankly better than anyone could’ve imagined after his less than stellar NCAA career. Let’s get 9 today boys…..setting us up nicely for the AL West bare-knuckle Battle Royale at Minute Maid Park next weekend. Bring it ON
