Goodrich— Consider Tiger Woods has a mere 20 holes-in-one in has 30 year PGA career.

Well look out Tiger, a few area golfers are not far behind.

In a span of about 60 days this past summer a hand full of area golfers tallied a remarkable seven aces all on the same course. According to the National Hole in One Registry the odds of a hole in one are 12,500 to 1. Consider too the chances of the ace being their first in a life time of golfing, those odds are pretty high.

According to the Goodrich Country Club records the barrage of aces started in late August.

On Aug. 22, Grand Blanc Township resident, Chuck Harman, 76, aced the par three, 130 yard 4th hole with an eight iron. His second hole-in-one (First Oct. 6, 2024 at Goodrich CC) after golfing for 60 years. “I was ecstatic, it only took 60 years to get one,” he said. “I did not believe them when they said it was a hole-in-one. They had to tell me three times.”
