The 2025 Ryder Cup is the 45th edition and runs between September 25 – September 28. Luke Donald is the European Team Captain and Keegan Bradley is the U.S. Team Captain. The European Team are the reigning champion after winning 16 ½ – 11 ½ at Marco Simone in 2023. Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition. Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an audience of millions around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Samuel Ryder.

Shay Larry, you just earned the half point to retain the RDER Cup for the European team. You look in disbelief. Tell us all how you are feeling and where this moment ranks in your career. [Applause] [Music] I mean, I’ve been so lucky to experience amazing things in this game. That was the hardest couple of hours of my whole life, honestly. Like I just can’t believe it. I can’t believe that put went in. I said over it going. This is it. I said to Darren walking down 18. I said I have a chance to do the coolest thing in my life here. And like the RDER Cup means everything to me. Honestly, I I won the open in Ireland. It’s a it’s amazing. It’s a dream come true. But the RDER Cup for me is everything. Like and to do that there today in the eating green in front of everyone. It’s like it was so hard out there. I mean the fair play to the US lads. Like we knew they were going to come out fighting, but yeah, I just hope one of the boys can get a half point so we can get the win. You know, obviously we’ve retained the cup, but we want to win as well. But yeah, you’ve battled a lot this week. It has been a hostile away crowd, which is what you expected. Luke Donald left no stone unturned. What part of his captaincy has led you to this victory? Yeah, he’s the greatest captain I think that’s ever lived. He’s he’s the most amazing man in the world. Like honestly, he’s done the best job. Uh yeah, I’m just I I honestly car I don’t know what to say. I honestly I’m just Yeah. Don’t know. One more for you. I know you’re going to celebrate tonight, but when this all comes down, you said your mind will turn to two years time at a dare Mana. How incredible is a home rider cup going to be for you, Shane?
