In this case, the saddest part about this envelope, and I hope that people understand this, the saddest part about this envelope is not the split point. It’s not that Havlin couldn’t play because of the injury. It’s because it is that Harris English made a Ryder Cup team. He may not ever make another RDER Cup team. And because of this rule, Harris English did not get to play the singles matches in the RDER Cup. the biggest thing in his golf career that may ever happen for him and he had to sit on the sidelines and watch. That is why the rule should include one extra player per team that does not participate in the RDER Cup unless it’s required in the singles matches Only.
