This number with the average torpro also decreases. So stands up just fractionally by about four or five degrees. So this is how far forward I am bent forward with my driver. And it shapes everything. If you think about it, if I was to stand very upright with my driver, I’m only going to take out that uprightness. I’m not going to add it back in if I follow the pattern that I’m doing at the minute and the tour pros are doing. So, I’m starting bent over, but when I hit the ball, I’m around four or five degrees slightly more upright. That’s the pattern. If I stand upright and then go more upright, I mean, I’m topping the ball all day long. Now, if I stand upright and then feel like I need to then increase my bend to get down to the ball, that’s throwing the club out on a crazy path. So, you can really start to see how building a good setup affects everything in your golf swing, especially your driver golf swing. If I was to stand really bent over to the ball, so really bent forward like 40 degrees. Well, I’m only going to come up four degrees, that’s not really going to connect with the ball or help me get any kind of power rotations in. So, there’s a good chance from here I’m going to have a massive thrust forward, maybe dropping the club from the inside and woohoo, giving it the big old turn. So, try this to get your posture working for you with the driver. Get yourself around approximate distance from the ball and then just stand up with the club out in front of you nice and straight. Bolt upright with your body pressing forward from your pelvis. So let your tummy just bend at the belt buckle to put the club on the ground trying to retain this kind of posture action. It’s going to give you a great benchmark to where to start from which hopefully will help with some better strikes straighter longer T- shots. You are very welcome for that simple driver tip.
