I saw a post of someone filming someone else using this chipping technique to practice so thought id try it as he looked like he was getting a nice strike on the ball

Im not completely sure on how it works as it really just feels as if im chipping one handed and I thought he was potentially just placing his other hand under just so he had somewhere to rest it when practicing one handed
.
It does help you to get a solid strike though and it also helps you to get under the ball and add a nice bit of loft to it
.
Normally chipping one handed especially with my right hand I personally have struggled to get that nice of a strike when I’m not practicing much and it usually comes out quite low at the best of times
.
With this drill the left hand sort of pulls your right arm through and almost forces your right hand to add the loft through impact
.
It doesn’t seem to lock anything into place and still feels really free to swing like this but it really helps with strike above anything
.
If you struggle with striking your chips or just want to see a bit more loft on them around the green then I definitely recommend giving this a try when your practicing
