Hitting your driver in the heel ❌ is one of the worst shots in golf!
A heel strike generally causes a ton of extra spin (shorter distance) and face spin (missed fairway) 💡
In this video Andrew gives some insight into a recent session where he used (2) training aids to help minimize heel strikes ✅
♦️ Alignment Rod – place the rod in the ground on an angle to its knee height roughly 4-6 inches from touching your knees. During the swing do your best to miss the rod which will create more space between you and the golf ball.
♦️ Headcover – place the headcover on the outside of the ball close enough that if you heel the shot you’d hit the headcover. Do you best to miss the headcover at impact.
