I was doing a little practice session in my simulator ahead of a big round tomorrow. Noticed a weird 30 mph ball speed drop and looked down to see the face of my Qi10 (my baby) detached. Depressing, but whatever, it happens and I have my old trusty Stealth 2 driver that’s lasted almost 2 years and through thousands of swings.

First swing with the Stealth 2 and this happened.

Brand new TP5 golf ball. 70 degrees. Wild man.

This isn’t a TM bash post. Love their woods and they’ve always done right by me with replacements. But, Titleist is probably going to finally get a test run in 2026.

    Ouch. That’s a terrible feeling.

I still game TM irons, wedges and putter but Titleist now gets the nod for hybrid/fairway/driver.

Standard for TM, avoid their drivers/woods.

  3. That sucks bro…what’s the play for the round tomorrow? Have another $500+ driver laying around??

I’ve broke 2- Stealths, 1-Qi10 and 1-QI35 in 2 years. TM should warranty and will upgrade you to a QI35.

The carbon faces are not durable. I hated the Stealth and do like the QI’s and they f I keep getting warranty and upgrades I will keep playing them.

I play my old Callaway Epic when they get sent out for warranty. It’s a 10 year old driver but it’s not as hot as the TM’s

No way, I’m shocked, a TaylorMade broke??? No way, their build quality is known to be ahahahahaha sorry couldn’t do it. What a dogshit brand.

Every 2025 major winner had a Qi10 wood in their bag. Of course they don’t have to pay for them.

Ugh. I’ve played TM drivers since the OG Sim, never had one break. Maybe I’m lucky?

Thats what you get for hitting the center of the face

  9. Blame the concrete floor below the astroturf on the simulator.

    Don’t tease us… What’s your ball speed?

As someone who works at a golf shop, Taylormade comes back broken the most. Titleist the least, Titleist has been going in popularity a lot the last 4 years or so

Pretty sure you took a hammer to your driver for the internet clout. That thumb screams back problems and 98 mph driver speed.

Bet you have one of those 50 cal antennas on your truck.

This is why the Sim 2 Max is still so popular

You’re doing something wrong, that doesn’t just happen

Those things suck. Personally I can’t hit them straight or far so I don’t play them but man, my friend is on his 4th, started with a stealth, now a qi35.

  16. I_cant_hear_you_27

Damn that sucks. You caved that stealth pretty good! What’s your club head speed? Gotta be 120+ for that type of damage.

  17. Environmental_Eye354

Still have my qi10 going strong, my rbz prior lasted me about 15 years lol

  18. I simply don’t trust the carbon faces and will never spend my money on them. Laminated/matrix composite materials are inherently more prone to manufacturing defects, are more difficult to simulate and test, and sound worse to boot (personal opinion).

Dude get rid of those tp5. They’re bricks. They honestly kill my golfers elbow if I practice with them for too long. Not only that, the testing done with them shows you lose distance, and touch. Pros refuse to play these for a reason.

  20. I think you club slammed from a bad sim shot. IMHO

  21. Gothewahs

The callaway aismoke is a great driver I never had a issue with it

  22. GolfinMartin

TM quality dropped after the 90’s. They used to be quality and then they had the big hit with the first white driver. Then people started buying anything they would sell.
