It’s really, I mean, you could talk about the manager all you want. The players have to play. They have to do the job. Um, and frankly, what I see on the field right now is a better team is beating a lesser team because the guys in uh in that in the blue uniform, they play better when they have to play better. They get the base hits that are necessary. They make the pitches when they’re necessary, and they make the plays when necessary. You know, Ruben, the whole year I I had held back on calling the Phillies a great team, even though they got the 96 wins. It’s a good team. It’s a great record, but I never felt they were a great team. And and this series makes a regular season team. Yeah. There’s just they’re just not sharp enough. When the pressure’s on, when it matters a little bit more, they come up short. They do not perform. and that and and so now you just look I I’m done waiting to see if next year they’ll be ready if next year Kyle Schwarber will do it when the time is right has been Bryce has been so he has been clutch in in the postseason this postseason he has not last couple last couple none of the guys have really been very good and you know these are the guys that you have to count on. And if and if they’re not and if they’re not performing, if they’re not performing, then you can put blame on the manager. You can put blame on the bullpen. You can blame everybody on the planet. But the reality of is this. If the boys that you pay to play and the best players on your team do not perform, you’re screwed. So you’re talking trash Harper for sure.

Look, people can whine about Rob all they want. When you're top 3 guys go a combined 2-24 with a 60 percent strikeout rate – not many teams are weathering that.
Agree! This team was built for home runs and scoring! The pitchers are doing more than they are expected to do. We need to score 6+ runs per game!!!

I didn't like Rob taking Luzardo out at 82 pitches. Luzardo was great last night, and he deserved the right to get out of the little jam he created. Also, why is Stott bunting in the Playoffs?

Yes, the players do have to play, but when you're managing matters in the moment and you don't make the right calls, it's your fault. bringing back Robertson after a high leverage situation he got out of, major adrenaline dump. Bunt with no outs, man on 2nd, like come on, rube. That was calls that could have won the game for us, in spite of the players' lack of production.
The manager has sucked since the World Series in '22. At what point does the guy making these idiotic decisions take some blame.

The top of the lineup can hold a bunch of the blame. HOWEVER, Rob Thompson can’t be back next year. Robertson and the bunt are completely inexcusable and indefensible decisions and speak to a general philosophy that needs to be gone.
Its Rob Thompson problem. So why is Aaron Nola pitching tonight? Philles will choke. Ruben your right its on the players. Chemistry of players not mixing it up.
