The golf hoodie is quite possibly the most controversial piece of golf apparel, and Honestly, I get it. There’s pure. out there, there’s traditionalists that don’t think hoodies belong on the golf course, and I completely understand that. However I’m a pretty casual dude, and I love the idea of being able to wear a hoodie on the golf course especially here in the Pacific Northwest, where six months out of the year, it’s kind of the perfect piece of golf apparel for the type of weather we have Today, I’m sharing with you my eight favorite golf hoodies on the market, so let’s not waste any time. Let’s jump right into it Oh, okay, just going to waste a little bit more time, a couple things. One, most of these hoodies are not cheap. These are all investment pieces At this stage in my life, I would rather have a handful of nice things than have to buy something new every six months. So most of these are not necessarily the most budget friendly hoodies on the market, but I promise, they’re very, very high quality Second, if you use any of the coupon codes, if you click any of the links below, I will get a commission. Tally understand if you think that makes me biased. Go do all of your own research, but I truly don’t care if you buy any of these things or not. My whole goal here is to help you find the right products for you. your needs So now let’s talk about the best hoodies in golf OK, first up, we’re just coming out with a banger, and that is best overall golf hoodie. And I got to say, any one of these on the list, somebody could say, is the best overall golf hoodie. I could make an articgument for every single one of these being the best golf hoodie. It just kind of depends on what you were looking for, so take all that with a grain of salt. But the one I have found that is kind of the most versatile is this. This is the B dratty, Andy quilted hoodie, and I absolutely love it This is one of those pieces of apparel that can kind of do anything It’s a cotton base, so it’s not going to be as performance oriented as some of the hoodies on this list. It’s got a beautiful quilted pattern The fit is absolutely perfect for me. I am 6’1″, about 205 pounds, starting to get a little bit of a dad bod, so I want something that’s going to kind of cover that up as much as possible. And this does such a good job. It is very comfortable to wear on the golf course But the quilted pattern also makes it a little bit easier to dress up if you’re wearing it in your day to day life or going out to dinner My only real complaint with this is that if you wear it a handful of times without washing, it does get a little bit more stretched out than some of the other ones on this list. Once you wash it, you line dry it, I found it goes pretty much right back to normal But this is something I have noticed, so this one might require a little bit more care than some of the other ones on the list The retail price is $2256, but you can use the code BRAking, which is going to knock 20% off But often B Ratty does have sales, so it wouldn’t surprise me if you can find this under $200. I particularly like the way this looks in the elk heather colorway. It’s one of their new colors for fall 2025, but overall, I cannot recommend this highly enough And next up we have, This, this is the Forresters range hoodie, and this is probably the best hoodie you have never heard of. But the official category I’m giving it for this video is both best hoodie to act actually golf in and also the trendiest hoodie out there If you want what all the cool kids are gonna be wearing, this is going to be the hoodie you want. So if you’ve never heard of Forsters before, they were a legendary outerwear line back in the 1970s If you grew up golfing in the Pacific Northwest, there’s a good chance you were wearing Forster’s reindeear. Well, guess what? They are back The same team that reinvigorated the Jones golf bag brand, they also owned the rights to Forrester and they just rolled out their brand new lineup And I got to say, I have not seen a new brand do such a good job knocking it out of the park on their first try than they have with this So here’s what I like about it. First off, the fit is perfect for actually playing golf It’s the right length for me, a lot of hoodies end up being just a little bit too short. This is perfect It also has a waffle knit pattern on the inside that is super warm, yet breathable So you never really get too hot, but also if you’re plain in relatively cold weather, it keeps you warm The sleeves are not only the perfect length for golfing, but they’re also super easy to pull up without getting stretched out. So that’s one of the things you will see with a lot of hoodies is they start to expand, they stretch out as you wear them. This, the elastic they use, for whatever reason, it just holds its shape so well One of the things I’m surprised has not been introduced in golf hoodies yet is this for drawstrings. So this was originally in Jordan hoodies back in the day this hasn’t been adopted for golf? I don’t know, because you tuck your strings in here, when you’re golfing, they don’t fly all over the place. They just stay put. Everything about this is great. It feels good. The build quality is excellent. You can actually golf in it. It’s got the cool factor Like I said, this is the one thing on this list that would probably make the radar of Hype Beast or something like that And the best part is, is that it’s only $148. I get like $148 in the grand scheme. That’s a lot of money for a hoodie. Like I said, all the hoodies in this are going to be premium priced, but $148 bucks for what you get, you get the cool factor, you get the fit, you get the performance And, I mean, it might be the best value out of all of these. So if you want something a little bit different that’s going to perform on the golf course, this Forester Range hoodie, that’s what you’re looking for And next up, we have This, the Redmondley Larkin hoodie. This is probably my most worn golf hoodie of the last five years. The Redmondley Larkin, we’re calling this the most versatile golf hoodie people because you can wear it literally anywhere This is the one I reach for, if I’m, like, waking up first thing in the morning, and I just need to throw something comfortable on, it’s this. If I want to go to the gym, I wear this. If I want something that’s going to be lightweight on the golf course, that’s going to be warm, but not too warm, and easy to throw in my bag when I need to, it’s this I love this hoodie from Redmondly, and they have continued to iterate it and make it better. So this is probably the third version of it that I have had The old ones had draw strings with metal tips on the end. Now, to be honest, those metal tips, they made it feel nice, they made it feel high quality, they made it feel expensive But when you’re swinging a club on a golf course, having these like metal tips flying around, then kind of annoying. Not to mention my daughter when she was younger loved to chew on them. So it was just not necessarily my favorite This, no drawstrings, but they have really done a good job of nailing the fit, the finish Just a small little logo here that I like So when it comes to a hoodie that’s just going to kind of do everything for my day to day life, maybe short of like dressing it up and going to a nice dinner or something, this is the one that I turn to I wear this thing to the gym. I wear this thing doing errands. I wear it on the golf course, I wear it all the time, and just an absolutely really solid piece So retail on this is 135. That makes it one of the more affordable pieces on this list You can also use the code BRAK 80 with 80 all spelt out. It is going to drop another 10% off the price of this, making it an even better value If you want something that’s a little bit less synthetic and kind of polyester feeling, you might check out the Irving hoodie It is definitely one that’s a little bit softer, it feels more like cotton while still being a performance fabric And that is another one that I found myself wearing all the time. When it comes to a hoodie lineup in general, I would say Redmondley right now, they probably have the best lineup of hoodies. They have that Irving, they have the cozy in it, they have another one”re going to talk about later that’s more of kind of a luxury hoodie. They have some really, really high quality stuff. And for the first time in years, I finally convinced them to give us a coupon code so you can save an additional 10%, which I’m really excited about And this brings us to The Holderness and Born Wallace sweater We are calling this the most popular golf hoodie, because if you go to, say, a club in the Northeast, you are going to see everybody wearing this. Holderness and Born over the last few years has gotten so popular and honestlyly, I love to see it. I’ve been following them, and I’ve known them since, like, 2014. Whenever they first launched the brand and it was just a handful of polos Seeing how far they’ve come has been so cool to see At this year’s PGA show, I was talking to John Bourne, and I told him there’s not a single piece of clothing that I have seen more people wearing than this, the Holderness and Bourne Wallace I feel like Holders and Born were kind of the ones that originally popularized this diamond knit pattern with their ward sweater, which is essentially just the crew neck version of this But they have some details on it that just make it feel elevated The cuff, for instance, has a different design You’ll see that same design on the hood and around the trim, and it just feels so elevated I think a lot of people, for obvious reasons, are going to compare this to the Andy from Bratty, and they are slightly different despite both having this pattern. I think that Andy is a little bit more casual, a little bit more sporty. This feels a little bit more dressed up and a little bit more refined I’m wearing this in a large, and one thing I have noticed with Holder andb lately is the way my body’s working. I feel like I’m kind of stuck in between medium and large. A medium feels just slightly too tailored whereas a large with some of their pieces can feel just like slightly too baggy This hyamami, in a large, just does feel slightly too large but that doesn’t change the fact. I still wear this all the time, and I also probably get complimented more and asked about this hoodie more than any other piece on this list The retail on this is $25. and Holders and Born doesn’t do sales all that often, so keep an eye out during the holiday season to see if you can get a nice little discount on it Also, this is one piece. If you’re going to a high end private club and you’re looking to buy something nice with like a club logo, this is a piece I see there all the time, and it’s definitely one I would keep an eye out for So with that, next up, we have This, this is the future staples hoodie from true Lxswear, and we are calling this the coziest hoodie To me, this hoodie feels just a little bit thicker and a little bit warmer than some of the other hoodies on this list The neck in the collar really doesn’t give you a whole lot of space up here, so it does feel a little bit warmer and inclement weather. It’s kind of tucked right up there. It doesn’t allow a lot of cold air to get in It’s kind of like a stretchy, cotton feeling fabric, like it looks just like a cotton hoodie But it definitely has more of a stretch cotton component to it, which I really like This hoodie also has kind of a few unique features On the side, there’s kind of a tiny little hidden pocket for a key. So if you’re taking us out for a run or going for a hike, you can put that there. There’s also the little button here, which I think is kind of unique and nice And one of the best parts about this hoodie is it’s the cheapest one on this list with a retail price of $10., but you can use the coupon code BE 15. It’s going to knock 15% off, and it’s going to bring it down to under 100. I think the length on this is really nice I like the fact that you can pull up the sleeves and it doesn’t seem to get stretched out very much, even if you wear it multiple times without washing it I will say it is a little bit thicker, it’s a little bit bulkier. So it’s maybe not the best to swing a golf club in, but still totally fine, but it might take up more room in your golf bag if you have a smaller bag and your garment pocket isn’t really big. then this one is just a little bit less packable than some of the other ones we’ve talked about One thing I want to know is that this is the size large True also recently came out with a crewneck version of this that I was really excited about it. had the dead guy logo, it came in like this cool gray color that I really liked. I was surprised when I got that, because the large, this is all also a large, did not fit. The large felt like a small, like it was like super tight like this So if you start looking at true and you come across the crew neck and you like it, I will just say, make sure you size up I replaced it with an XL, which fits me much better, and it fits the way I expected the large to fit That being said, with this one, with the hoodie version, large is excellent for me And it’s just a great kind of wear anywhere hoodie. It doesn’t feel quite as golf focused as some of the other ones, but that’s okay, because I still wear it all the time All right, we got three more left, and the next one is. This, the Grayson Gotham hoodie. Now, Grayson obviously is a high end brand and has a really good reputation for high end golf clothes, and this hoodie is no exception I don’t really feel like this hoodie fell into one of those general categories, so we’re just calling this one editor’s choice but a few things that I love about it It’s kind of like the more refined version of the true one we just talked about a little bit. It still has what feels like cotton, but a very stretchy material But it also is heavy. Like, you put this thing on, and it almost feels like a weighted blanket. And I mean that in the best way possible. Like, it just feels luxurious. It feels high end, and it feels comfortable Which is really what you’re looking for if you’re wearing a hoodie Fitwise, I found this to be perfect. The length is a little bit longer than some other Grayson hoodies I have had. That’s one problem I’ve had with some Gray and clothes and Grace and Apparel that it just needs to be like half an inch longer for my long torso But this one feels pretty much perfect I don’t wear this out on the golf course as much as I do with some of these others, but that doesn’t mean that I couldn’t It’s still a great golf hoodie But in a lot of ways, it just feels like an even better high-end hoodie to wear around town and do your daily things, whatever that might be I do like the fact the cuff has these small accents. You know, so many hoodies do feel very similar, so it’s things like this that set yourself apart in small ways that I think are nice attention to detail, but I really do like to see Retail price on this is $170, but if you are on the Grayson email list, I’ve found that they have sales on a fairly regular basis and you can get a lot of pieces at clearance for less than half of that Usually once a year, I’ll do a little bit of a Grayson shopping spree and pick a few items to buy from that list And this brings us to This, the G4 Cashmere hooded sweatshirt, and this gets my pick for best luxury hoodie number one. You see, I couldn’t pick between just one luxuryood, so we’re going with two Even though the reality is this is going to be the one that you’re least likely to buy, in part, because it’s $495. This is the most expensive hoodie on the list, but it’s cashmere, and it feels wonderful Wearing this thing just feels luxurious And as someone who’s not very good at taking care of my clothes, this is something that I’m, like, very selective about when I wear, because I don’t want to hurt it, because I like it so much Going back to the point I was just talking about of having nice touches, G4 with their latest line, just get this like little pop of pink on the cuff that I think looks really nice As with everything G4 does, this is really, really well done, extremely well constructed, extremely nice materials. The cashmere feels extremely high quality It hasn’t gotten like pilly or fuzzy or anything like that The downside on top of the price is that if you’re going to clean it, you’re going to have to dry clean it. So it’s a piece that you’re really going to want to kind of save for special occasions But despite that, I have golfed in it, and it feels great on the golf course It’s the perfect, like, spring layer. It’s breathable. It keeps you warm without being too warm, so I’ve honestly really enjoyed it Finally complaint with this one comes down to the fit a little bit. The sleeves for my long arms are just slightly too short and the length, as well, is about half an inch too short to fit perfect That being said, I always, almost always know marry hoodies, I’ll roll up my sleeves like this, so it’s a non issue So this still fits really well. It’s just not quite perfect That being said, if you are someone who doesn’t have freakishly long arms or you have a little bit of a shorter torso, this is going to be perfect and is one of my favorite pieces I own And finally, that brings us to This, the Redvenly Quincy hoodie, which is also a cashmere hoodie So it also falls into the best luxury hoodie category. And this one is a little bit different than the G4. I will say right off the bat, construction Not quite as high end as what you’re going to find with G4. I feel like G4 is a much larger company, so their manufacturing processes are just a little bit more refined The cashmere itself is just as soft, but does feel a little bit fuzzier, which could be a good thing or a bad thing, but it doesn’t feel quite as refined. That being said, there are definitely some benefits to this over the G41, the biggest one being, price. Instead of $495, you can pick this up for $350. You can then use the coupon code Breaking 80, which is going to knock another 10% off, making it, well, still very expensive, but a relative bargain when it comes to a cashmere luxury going hoodie. And I got to say, this thing is so good. Like, I’ve been wearing this a ton lately. We’re going back to those kind of small features here, along the cuff, and along the base of the hoodie as well. You just get a little pop of color This is the tuxedo color wave. It’s black with little purple touches, which I personally just love. This one does fit me better than the G4. The sleeves are a little bit longer. The length is a little bit longer, and it is just so comfortable. Now, I get it. Like, there’s going to be so many people on this video. It’s like, who’s buying a $350 or $500 cashmere hoodie Well, the reality is, I know there is a large subset of you out there because I talk to you all the time. So if you are looking for what might be the best luxury hoodie value, I got to say, this is it. Getting this level of cashmere and quality close to $300 is like the best deal I’ve seen You know, the G4 with the code, you can get down closer to 450 But the B dratty cashmere hoodie, which I have yet to try, that’s like 600 bucks So you’re getting this at almost half the price, but you’re not really sacrificing a whole lot So if you’re looking for a really nice luxury cashmere hoodie, I can’t recommend this one from Red Vinley highly enough So there you go. Those are my picks for the best golf hoodies I wear every single one of these on a regular basis Yes, I know most of these aren’t super cheap, but the quality, the fit, the experience of wearing them, I absolutely think makes it worth the price My name is Sean Ogle. I’m the founder of this thing here, Breaking 80. We’ talking about cool golf products and cool golf courses If you were watching this, say, six months after I originally posted it, I only to my written review of my favorite golf hoodies down below, because I add to that every time I test a new one that is worth mentioning. So I’m only going to shoot this video once or twice a year, but I keep that up to date, and every time I test something worthwhile, you will find it on that list. So you can go check out that link below. And with that, I hope you have an excellent day, and I’ll see you on the next video Base.

  1. Golf hoodies are nice but I have never seen anyone wearing the actual hoodie so imo it's a style fad because swinging with the hood on is not functional and a winter hat is much better.

  2. Love the Redvanly Larkin…I have the light blue…just a great fit and easy to play in…was able to pick one up at a local store that had them for 50% off!

  3. The Redvanly Larkin hoodie is fantastic. The performance fabric is very very high end. When you put it on, you just know it's great. Definitely agree on the versatility as well. Would highly recommend others in the comments to splurge on it if you are on the fence.

  4. Another good one is the Peter Millar Pine Performance hoodie. Lighter weight than the Redvanly Larkin..very comfortable and nice fabric.

  5. Hmm, I have an Anorak from Adidas I usually wear, also in the PNW. I exclusively play at sunrise so it’s always chilly, even in the summer here. I do have a lighter jacket and a heavier one but the anorak is usually fine. It’s just a little nicer than a hoodie. But also most of the places I play before the clubhouse even opens etc so it doesn’t matter too much. I nice hoodie might be good though, I will check these out.
