Head Coach Erika Brennan:
“We are really encouraged with what happened today. I thought that starting in the morning, especially on the back nine was a nice advantage. The girls got out to a really quick start which was great to make the turn at -1. We have a little bit of work to do especially in those transition holes one, two, and four. We have to course correct and do better on those holes tomorrow, but to get the kind of start that we did especially at after Maria [Eidhagen Harrouch] threw 2-under, phenomenal, but there’s a lot more work to do. We have to go and back it up tomorrow.”

Graduate Maria Eidhagen Harrouch:
“So much more to work on, but I had a really fun time. The highlight of my day was definitely the eagle on hole six. I love playing behind Sydney [Givens], I had Morgan [Smith] behind me too, we had lots of waves and it was just fun watching everyone in their pink polo’s today. For tomorrow the plan is to stay present, accepting my shots and decisions and have a lot of fun.”
