Fans at this week’s DP World India Championship are being treated to seeing some of the best golfers on the planet. But on Thursday, there was an appearance by someone who was probably just looking for an actual treat.
Play was briefly delayed during Day 1 of the DP World Tour event when a dog ran onto the 18th green at Delhi Golf Club while a marquee Ryder Cup group of Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry and Luke Donald finished their first rounds. Perhaps, this good boy was just a big fan of Team Europe.

In any event, here’s the funny video of the dog getting loose on the green and a marshal with one of those “Stand Still/Be Quiet” paddles unsuccessfully trying to shoo him away:
As you can see, the dog got particularly close to Fleetwood before scampering off the green. Hey, everyone loves Tommy these days.
Anyway, after the brief disturbance, all three players converted birdie putts because that’s what pro golfers do. Lowry leads the tournament at eight under par after Day 1 with Fleetwood and Donald at four under. Pretty good scores considering all of Delhi Golf Club’s tight, um, doglegs.
