Take the time to really understand how you can hit the ball as far as possible with the speed you have. This simple thing will make it happen.

Let me help you get an effortless golfswing with speed, distance and accuracy. I call it the circle of speed. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook. How to swing a golf club need to be adjusted to your skill level and experience.
ChatGPT cannot teach you how to play golf or hit a good golf shot. Only old fashion hard work can bring improvement in this very tough game.
Long and straight is the goal for everyone but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill. We focus too much on rotation but no good golf shot will be executed just by rotating.
I’m naturally right handed but all my tips works for both left handed and right handed golfers playing either way.
We also need to understand that many myths in golf are misleading. Everything that you find on the internet isn’t true. Ben Hogan, Sam Snead are two of the legends that are often misunderstood. To understand golf we need to take it step by step and learn every part of the swing before we move on to the next. It’s like a big jigsaw puzzle that we all can figure out.
A will never call a slice sexy but a high draw is beautiful in a very special way. Some pro’s that hit draw: Rory McIroy, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Reed, Sepp Straka, Bryson Dechambeau and many, many more.
We shall not keep our head still, only start with the hips, look only at the ball or keep the left or right arm straight. Understand what do do with the club and let your body find the best way possible.
This is not Rick Shiels, Saguto golf, Danny Maude, Meandmygolf, the Average Golfer, Malaska, Mark Crossfield, Alex Elliot Golf or Paige Spiranac. This is a method that anyone can learn if you give it a chance.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist, takomo or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can always get better.
Find what inspires you. Golf basics are the same for everyone. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV. Be careful when you watch a golf swing in slow motion. The result isn’t always what the golfer is trying to do. Feel and real are seldom the same.
We can find inspiration in a lot of things. You can find training motivation watching movies like Rocky, Tin Cup or Happy Gilmore and find mental inspiration in legends like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hulk Hogan, Sylvester Stallone or Mike Tyson. Maybe we sometimes need to hear about crazy achievements from people like David Goggins, Jocko Willink, Ct Fletcher, Jim Rohn or Tony Robbins.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway, Pete Cowen and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots. Linn Grant, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg can show you the future of golf.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.
Questions my videos will answer:
How to swing faster. How to hit longer. How to swing faster. How to hit your irons better. How to be better at anything. How to master the circle of speed. How to get a better short game. How to hit your wedge better. How to release the golf club. How to rotate in golf. Best tips for beginner golfers. How to hit down on the ball. How to hit up on the ball. Hello my friends. This is a very personal video and uh for me it needs to be personal because I always have to struggle with people that don’t believe that what I’m teaching actually works. And why is that? Because I’m not saying the same thing that the mainstream instructor is doing. But probably I’m uh this is the fall of 2025. Um I I’m probably hitting it still longer than 99% of all instructors. And I I do it because I did one thing probably 3 years into my golfing career uh in 2003 2004 and I discovered that the the main stream instruction made me hit it over the top and slice it. So I’m going to try to explain what I think you should do. Um, just give it a few minutes, but maybe you need to do it a few times to understand how your body should move to hit the most efficient golf shot ever starting golf. I I was a sucker for for tips. I wanted to have that quick fix. I wanted, you know, I was a normal golfer. And the two tips that I got was hold the lag and start with a brutal hip rotation. I I gained some speed. I did. The more I was hitting it at full speed, I slowly started to to get more speed, but I wasn’t hitting it long. I told you before in one of my videos about another guy called Marcus. He’s I think he’s one year older than me, but he was swinging it maybe 110, 112. I was swinging at it 125, 130 probably when I met him at the first time and he was outdriving me almost every time because he was hitting this perfect draw shot. He was hitting five, six, seven degrees up on the ball and he was just smooth and I just hated the smile he gave me every time he out drove me. So I needed to understand and that’s what you need to do. You need to understand that something is wrong. Being normal in golf means that you’re slicing the ball with your driver. Being normal in golf means that this is not your friend. I want to change that. So, what I did to understand what he was doing because he couldn’t really explain it. I’m glad he’s not an instructor. He’s a very nice guy, but he’s not an instructor. Uh, but he just did what he always have been doing. I’m not sure this is the same ball, but I think it is because it’s pretty old. But I put this on the floor in my apartment in Stockholm. And now you’re just down the line, down the target line. I needed to understand how to get to the inside of the ball. So, I tested it. I went back swing turn. You can see that that’s the outside. Okay. So, a very early isolated hip turn was not what I was looking for. Again, up turn and then attack the ball. No, that’s not the way I want to do it. I want to hit that one. I want to hit the inside of the ball, not the outside of the ball. So, no matter how I did it, starting with my hips without very very fast arm action made me into a slicer over the topper. It wasn’t good. Second part was holding the angle. holding the angle. I could hold it for quite a while. I’m pretty strong in my forearms and wrists. I ended up hitting the ball from above. I didn’t want that. So, the two tips I got, none of them was working. And I was standing there like a complete idiot. I I practiced this. I really tried to do this. and I hit decent maybe eight irons, seven irons. But then I Okay, if I start from zero, I start with my slap shot in hockey. Am I holding? No. Am I releasing my hips? No. I was using my trail arm. And now you know how a puck looks. It only has a side. It’s flat surface on top. I don’t want to hit that. I want to hit the side. So in hockey, I was using this. And I started to feel the circle. I started to feel that holding. No hip motion very early. No. And oh, I need to use my trail arm. I need to use my left arm. Let’s look at this right-handed. If you play right-handed, it’s the same thing. We just change to your right arm. Holding made me hit it from above. I wanted to hit it from below. So holding was not the option. Okay. Back swing early hips. No, I was hitting it from the outside. So what I needed to understand is that I can’t do what everyone is telling me to do. The normal golf instruction didn’t work for me. I had no idea 20 years ago that I would be working as an instructor six, seven years later because I thought that people really understood what to do and when to do it. But they didn’t. So what do we need to do? Let’s keep going right-handed. What we need to understand is how my body is working. Your body is working. If you put I mean I I’ve done this in exhibitions. I had a a beach ball, the blow up thingy, the really big one. Nobody wanted to do over the top looking at that ball. They all went down. So what we are trying to do is probably combined with that the ball is very very the golf ball is very very small but we need still to understand if you put a bigger ball. This is uh uh foam soccer ball. Anything bigger and you take just five minutes, stand there and Okay. How to reach the inside of the ball. Feel what you’re doing. I’m using my trail arm to go down before my hip turns too much. And I can promise you those five minutes will teach you more and probably make you hit it a lot longer. Sometimes we need to go just go practice without hitting golf balls. Practice your understanding. That’s what I did in my apartment. I really wanted to okay, how do I get that? And instantly after that I I could start doing it. It felt really really crazy because it was so far from what I was trying to do the day before. But still I needed to force my body to change from this to this. Of course I’m using my legs. I’m actually using my legs more now than I did then because when my trail arm is trying to hit up, my legs are helping me. So, I know how my I my my weight distribution, how I put pressure into the ground. I know that, but I’m not talking to my lower body. We need to understand how to do things. We can’t just go and hit golf balls. Taking the time will make you so much better. It will feel so much better hitting a golf ball when your body actually understands what to do. Your body can do anything. Again, what I want you to do, bring a bigger ball or impact bag, anything big that you can really feel the inside. Do your back swing and feel. Can I start only this? Can I start holding it? What I need to do to get my club head to do the complete circle? circle down close to the ground and go out and up. How can I do it? And you will be surprised how easy it is to understand that fast hip rotation is not the key. You will use your hips, you will use your legs, you will use your shoulders, you will use a lot of things, but what do you need to do? That understanding will come in minutes. And then look at yourself. What are you doing? I’m bending my arm back, extending my arm forward. And now I can start turning. Here comes the turn, but not too much from the top. It is very simple to understand. And when you do that, you can be like me. I was hitting it. I was fast, but I was hitting it about 300 yards. A few weeks later, I was hitting it 350, 3770. Uh, I was hitting it nasty long just by taking five minutes. I probably did it 5 10 minutes for for days every day because I was so surprised that what people were teaching at that time couldn’t help me with my driver. Please do this. We will hit a lot of golf balls with a driver this fall. Um, but we need to understand before we do anything. Understanding comes first. Take a few minutes, bring a big ball or something that you can hit the inside of, and you will be surprised how easy to understand that what I’m actually saying will work.

You hated that little smirk your friend gave you…I know what you mean…lol. When in my early twenties I decided that I wanted a well grooved swing for life. I succeeded. But now I'm going to be 68 in a few weeks. But one thing I must tell you. I never got over 100 mph clubhead speed. And I spent a lifetime of shooting close to or at par golf. And I was about the worst putter you could find for years.
Same with irons?
Marcus…I have been following you and using your instruction quite successfully for a few years now. After a few months off last winter I kinda lost it, but after reviewing some of your older lessons I got it back! I had such a great season this year and received several comments from my playing buddies on my consistency and believe me they are not the kind to hand out praise… all thanks to you! Best, Mike
Thanks
As an amateur golfer who struggled with this for years i can 1000% verify this is the way. I barely rotate my hips, and do what feels to me like dumping my lag angle under the plane and i hit soft draws that go 40 yards further than my previous drives with no effort
Great video Marcus 👍
Very clear and simple instructions 👍 Do you get the power from straighten the right arm ? I'm 71 and don't have much power in my arms. 😭
Ok, I stopped the video grabbed a small archery bag used for releasing
Bolts from a cross bow. Went out on the front lawn and
Started casually
Hitting the bag. No
Swing thought. Just
Easy seats. Hit the
Correct spot every
Time. Ok. Went back in the house
Grabbed a couple
Practice balls. Teed
One up causally gave it the same swat. Ball disappeared into the trees behind my house. Did it again.
No struggle, no stress just did it.
This is genius. Thank
You. Felt it right up the shaft through my hands and arms.
Beautiful 😍
Brilliant 🤩
Thanks Marcus! Sequencing is not only important but absolutely necessary for good accurate ball striking and distance! And this vid is a great way to get proper sequencing. So many golfers have great moves but incorrect sequencing which spells so many struggles in the game…Thanks for your understandable and absolutely correct instruction Marcus!
Great video Marcus
When i first played golf had no instruction just grab a club and swung it played decent after a while took a few lessons game to worse took a few years to fix it now i swing like i did in the beginning…n9w back to single digit handicap
Awesome video, your instruction is crystal clear. I’ve been trying this inside out and upping hitting to some success but the occasional slice does occur. Is there any additional instruction on the setup (closed), clubface etc
Thank you Marcus. You saved my game. I could not hit anything after getting overloaded with "lessons" and tips but your in and out philosophy has saved my game. Do you think you could do a video of the big ball with a bird's eye view? You did that video with the box and I thought that was really insightful. I really would like to see which angle the contact on the sphere is the best for us. Like is it 3 oclock or 4 oclock from the perspective of the player? Thank you for all your work.
You my friend are an awesome coach ……. What a great Video
Amen brother amen …knowing how or as you said the understanding how your body works or moves in the golf swing is premo … if the body is not right the ball flight is not right
They say football is a game of inches … not even close to the golf swing …golf is the game of nats hairs …a lot shorter to and quicker to…to screw up a shot
Get the body wright the ball was made to follow
Learn the way the human body moves in the golf swing would or should put a lot of wondering minds asking how should I swing … to bed …step 1
Solid lesson my friend solid
👍⛳️👍
I don’t agree with your hockey technique as being a one fix all.
Like the guy who was out driving you – he had his own way of striping the ball so do you – it’s eye coordination / natural talent. For some who are hitting 250m they can’t get to 300m with your teaching. It will help those who are 180-200 to go further – yes. You need to refine your videos – some for better players looking for extra yardage which is a diff kind of troubleshooting. They already hit on the inside and draw (that the easy part) so you are not offering anything as a new perspective for them. Show us something we haven’t seen before please – I watch your videos hoping you will one day …
Hahaaaa!! ‘Nasty-long!’ -love it!
I cannot wait to try this!!!
Love the concept
👏👏👍💪💯
I can't even explain how sick I am of my driver! The thing is just embarrassing! Great video! I'll work on the feels discussed. Thanks
I like your comments about holding the release, I believe I always used your trail arm explanation, I think holding the release is not good advice, certainly not for average golfers. I like what your showing here
Brilliantly presented as always Marcus……could only be improved if you were a right hander…😀😀😀
Are you swinging an auto flex shaft? Very nice smooth swing!!!
Heaven forbid you apply common sense to golf swing
I used to play uncomplicated swings but over the years I was drawn into believing that I need to follow latest swing norms and lessons. I gave since I did not enjoy the gam any more as its getting complicated. Thank you for making it uncomplicated again as I see similarity to my what I did in my younger days… simple and effective
Great tips for driver. Thanks
Your back swing looks like you pull the driver away from the ball at around 45° and that appears to help keep the club head inside the ball. I have been trying this but then hit the ball with an open face and strughle to get to 200yds. What am i doing wrong?
