Oklahoma WR pretended to walk off the field before scoring a touchdown vs. Auburn

Here is Satania who looks like he’s walking off the field from the previous play. They decide as soon as he walks off to try to snap it, catch him off guard. Auburn never sees him. And let’s bring in Matt Austin. Matt, tell us about that situation. Yeah, I wish I could see the player all the way to the sideline, but I can’t. But you cannot use the substitution process to deceive your opponent if if that’s what they were trying to do. That’s an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

Why do you say 5 is pretending to walk off the field but 9 on the other side is doing the same thing?
And in all of this crap Oklahoma moves up and Auburn moves down in the rankings. Imagine that.
Refs failed to help Auburn out knowing that they have a hard time counting to eleven.
Here’s a tip count the number of sacks you gave up and add one more, easy.
Casually walking to your spot, lining up, and checking in with the line judge is illegal now if a defender doesn't follow you? Nonsense.
You telling me there isnt another camera angle of this
You shouldn’t just use a substitution process but they should start calling it illegal formation. This is NOT street football! Fire the refs!
ole miss ran the very same play in 2023 against a&m. No outrage, no sec bobble head statement, just praise for lane kiffin from broadcast team.
He checked with the ref lol
How does the side judge or line judge miss this? He’s clearly too close to the sideline.
Lane/Ole Miss used to run this crap all the time
These announcers fabricated a narrative for this game. There was nothing illegal about this play.
The player was actually walking off the field and the coaches were yelling at him to stay. Yes, I agree that a penalty should have been called. The refs were horrible in this game and I know they can't call them all but some big calls were terribly missed!
It's shows the Refs dont know the rule book. What's new. That whole crew should be fired.
did no watch the game that is commenting? people just ignoring the atrocious holding auburn did for 60 minutes that didnt get called?
OU was going to play with 10 guys on offense? Get real!!
No 12th man was on the field and it was a no huddle. The #5 guy never left field of play.
Auburn over there trying to get a Time out. Oklahoma was never in a huddle.
Auburn was not allowed to call a time out. Make that make sense. OU exposed themselves as trashy cheaters that don't belong in the SEC. Good luck wearing that cheaters gloss
That’s a stupid rule. It’s only a rule because it fools the officials also. Thats BS. If you aren’t paying attention to who’s on the field that’s your own damn fault
Wasn’t this sort of trick play in “The Longest Yard”? Or, am I thinking of another movie?
The refs ask you before the game if you have any trick plays. You tell them yes and what it is. They will tell you if it’s legal or not. And they want to know what to look for when it happens. The refs aren’t surprised. They know it’s coming.
Cheating OU! They should give AU the win.
Hey! Guess what it wasnt illegal!
It's not illegal. Everybody's just mad because OU executed it.
Nothing illegal!!! Auburn just missed it period!!
It actually wasn't an illegal play they've already debunked it. They talked to the rats three times before they ran that play and the rest told him it was a legal play.
Perfectly legal actually.
Matt Austin didn’t know what he was talking about. The played with the refs b4 the game and besides every trick play is deceptive. Y’all want to give the D a do over every time they get fooled. Besides what’s Auburn’s whine about A&M. Give ‘em some cheese.
Baaaaahahaha Texas is killing OU anyway😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bro SEC refs are the absolute worst
Auburn got fucked over yesterday vs Georgia too on the most obvious ball crossed the line before the fumble it should’ve been 17-0 going into halftime and it completely changed the game. I’m not even an Auburn fan but they need to protest or go on strike or something lol. 2 ref mistakes that cost them the 2 biggest games possibly.
Not illegal, officials were asked about it before the game
Since day 1 you're trained to ALWAYS count the offense as a defensive player.. should probably go back to basics as an AU defender
In the late fifties, when it was still a powerhouse, Army had a Lonesome End — Bill Carpenter — lined up near the sidelines. "Napalm Bill" later called in an airstrike on his own position in Vietnam — and it thwarted the attack. He retired as a Lt. Gen.
