Final Results
STATESBORO, Ga. – Marshall Men’s Golf wrapped up play at the inaugural Bash In The Boro on Tuesday. The event was hosted by Georgia Southern.
Five of Marshall’s six golfers earned a round of Even-par or better in the 54-hole event, making for some shining moments on the course.
Cael Ropietski’s 4-under 68 in the first round of the tournament provided the signature highlight as he carded three consecutive birdies on Holes No. 13-15 to go low.
Teammate Clayton Thomas also was in red figures in the first round, carding a 2-under 70 to open the tournament. Thomas also followed with an Even-par 72 in his second round and was the top finisher in the event for the Herd.
The final round saw Jack Minutoli – playing as an individual – get into red figures with a 1-under 71 on the strength of four birdies.
Teammate Jackson Woodburn registered six birdies en route to an Even-par 72, which matched teammate Wes Lorish, who also shot Even after a round with two birdies and two bogeys.
The team now sets its sights on the Dayton Flyer Intercollegiate, which gets started on Monday at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
