MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – The Hamilton College Continentals were tied for first place out of 24 teams after two rounds of the 2025 Golfweek Division III October Classic at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort’s The Links Golf Club on Monday, Oct. 13.
The 54-hole event concludes on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Hamilton players start teeing off at 7:15 a.m. local time and 8:15 a.m. Eastern time.
The 18th-ranked Continentals were tied for third place with a four-person team total of 303 after Sunday’s first round. Hamilton moved up to a tie for the top spot with NESCAC rival Williams College at 594 after a team-record score of 291 in the second round. Grinnell College was in third place just one shot behind.
Aubrey Lee ’28 and Hellen Xiang ’29 were tied for eighth place out of 119 golfers at 148 through 36 holes. Lee made five birdies and fired a 2-under-par 70 – a collegiate best for her for 18 holes — in the second round. She made three birdies and finished with a 78 on Sunday. Xiang has been a model of consistency so far as she carded two rounds of 2-over 74.
Keira Joshi ’27 was two shots back of Lee and Xiang in a tie for 16th place. After a 76 in the first round, Joshi recorded four birdies and posted a 74 on Monday.
Shanya Arasu ’28 was tied for 20th place at 152. Arasu ran off four birdies on the front nine and registered a 1-over 73 in the second round after a 79 on Sunday.
Peyton Sichol ’26 contributed a 75 in the first round and was tied for 39th at 156 for the tournament. Sunday’s round was Sichol’s second consecutive 75 after she wrapped up the Hamilton Fall Invitational with the same score.
