Mixed martial-arts fighter and son of former UFC champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, Raja Jackson, has attacked and knocked unconscious a pro-wrestler named Stuart Smith, also known as Syko Stu, at a wrestling event in California.
The event was shown on Kick, a live streaming platform, and shows Jackson appearing to knock Smith unconscious before repeatedly striking the wrestler on the head as others attempt to pull him off Smith.
An incident prior to the bout, also streamed on Kick, shows Smith hitting Jackson on the side of the head, which Jackson’s father claimed was unexpected in a statement.
In that statement, Rampage Jackson said the incident was a “work that went wrong” referencing the wrestling phrase “work”, which means staged or scripted.
The statement also claimed that Smith was awake and stable following the incident, in line with other reports from those close to the wrestler.
However, there has been no official confirmation from event organisers at the time of writing.
