Kai Trump has opened up on her close relationship with her grandfather, former US President Donald Trump, and how he tried to get in her head during a round of golf

Kai Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of US President Donald Trump and daughter of Donald Jr. and Vanessa Trump, has disclosed how her grandfather tried to break the rules during a golf round they played together.
Despite their considerable age gap, Kai shares her grandfather’s passion for the sport – as she has demonstrated on her YouTube channel.
Her public presence is skyrocketing after delivering her inaugural speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, and she also caught attention with her behind-the-scenes appearance at the inauguration earlier this year.
With a growing number of social media followers, thanks to her golf content, Kai is reportedly eyeing a professional golfing career. But recently, the teenager was accused of ‘stealing’ from NFL star Travis Kelce in a huge scandal.

Looking back on the viral Break 50 Challenge video featuring her grandfather alongside golf star Bryson DeChambeau, which has garnered nearly ten million YouTube views, she commented: “I watched half of it (the DeChambeau video) because I was working out.”.
“It was awesome. It was crazy. Genuinely, he always gives me a run for my money. It’s pretty close,” she revealed, acknowledging that her grandfather usually comes out on top,

“It’s never really like game over and I’ve won on the 15th hole. He wins a lot of the time. I do have to say that. I’ve got to get better.”
Kai shared a humorous anecdote from the golf course, recounting how the former president attempted to distract her during a crucial shot. “One time I was not on his team and I had to make this eight-foot birdie putt to win and he’s trying to get in my head like standing right over me, standing next to me.”

Despite his efforts, she made the putt and celebrated with an exuberant fist pump, which brought a grin to his face even in defeat.
“I sunk it and l looked up and go like this (fist pumping) and he started smiling. That was the best moment. When I made that putt, even though he lost, he was so happy and smiling and laughing. That was a pretty special moment, too.”
In addition, Kai recalled a poignant moment with her grandfather following a terrifying incident, stating, “I was going to say the RNC was pretty special for both of us because it was right after he got shot and I hadn’t seen him since then.”
The weight of their reunion amidst the turmoil left them both teary-eyed. “It was like the world stopped. It was that type of feeling.
She added: “I was out with my friends actually. That was really special. We both got a bit teary-eyed. I’ll never forget that. It was nice to see him again and it was a really special moment. But on the golf course, there’s a lot. I play with him so often.”
