I’m looking to add a golf simulator to my garage. Space is not really an issue – ceilings are 10.5 ft tall and the bays are big. It would be ideal if the simulator was easily collapsible against the wall so that when I’m not using it, we can still park cars inside. Or, a set up where the car can fit inside the enclosure. Just getting started in my research so I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on the best way to go about it!

I would invest in a fold out wall rack for weight lifting if you intend to keep a place to exercise. Put it where your treadmil is.

If no projector, I would use that back wall where your tools are hanging to do a curtain track around ceiling. I would then buy a Square or MLM2Pro as my launch monitor. Since you have hard cement floors, I would focus on hitting strip.

    – Fold up Squat/Bench Rack – $500 – 700
    – MLM2 Pro – $700
    – Subscription – $500 lifetime
    – Square – $700
    – GSPRO – $250 annual
    – Curtain Track – $100-200
    – Net – $200-300
    – Hitting Strip – $250 (SigPro Softy)
    – Hitting Mat – $200 (Gosports elite is good or can go SigPro complete set
    – Gaming Laptop – $700-1000 (Can buy 2nd hand or Black Friday Cyber Monday)

    If Projector
    – Projector ($250 – 1000) – Depends how nice you want
    – Framing for Impact Screen – $200-300
    – Impact Screen or Roll Down Screen – $250 – 1000

You can go pretty cheap with $5k. A return net + Launch Monitor (iPad software) + Hitting Strip is really all you need.

But first thing i’d personally do with your space is install a fold out rack to keep my gym.
