GOLFERS took to the tee once more on the second day of the 2025 Fiji Golf Open Championship in Suva yesterday.
The tournament began on Friday and continued in full swing at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa.
Competitors, young and old, were engaged on the course in pursuing victory either individually or as clubs.
Weather conditions during the event were overcast, with the possibility of a few showers being imminent however it held off for the entire day.
This tournament sees golfers from around the country making their way to Suva for the annual fixture, and yesterday’s scenes at the golf course saw golf caddies both young and old, and golf carts being driven around the tee.
In this year’s competition, prominent golfers such as Tomasi Tuivuna, Roneel Prakash, Abid Hussein, Rajat Rai, Shakeel Pillay, Ashish Chand, Shalend Prasad and Poasa Giri took to the golf course to engage in the competition.
Besides these players, others have travelled from around the region including Australia and New Zealand to take part in the three-day event.
