JONESBORO, Ark. – After battling a national field on one of golf’s most historic stages, the Illinois State women’s golf team will trade towering pines for southern fairways as it closes out the fall season at the Lady Red Wolves Classic. The Redbirds head to Sage Meadows Country Club looking to finish what’s been one of their most consistent stretches of play this year.

LAST TIME OUT

At the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah, Elise Fennell once again led the Redbirds, firing her second under par round of the tournament and finishing tied for 19th overall in a stacked national field. Her final round 71 marked her fifth round at or under par this season and 19th of her career, ranking fourth in program history.

Sage Meadows Country Club, a Gene Bates and Tommy Bolt design, features tree lined fairways, subtle elevation changes, and fast greens that reward accuracy and course management. The Redbirds will look to lean on their consistency and precision as they wrap up their fall schedule in Jonesboro.
