Shannon, I imagine it’s still quite hard to take in what’s just happened, but here in India, you’re now a three-time le winner. You’ve just won the Hero Women’s Indian Opening quite dramatic style. Just give me your initial reaction. Yeah, to be honest, I would say I’m still pretty much in shock, but I mean this whole week has been a lot has happened this week. like first not being not getting my visa initially and then getting my visa late getting here later like on Tuesday and then yeah I mean this whole week has just been a lot has happened but yeah like I’m kind of just in shock of what just happened and but really grateful for what has happened as well. Yeah, seven shots back before the start of play. You were playing one group behind the leaders then the day unfolded Hitashi dropped shots then Alice dropping a shot at the end there to give you the title. I mean were you aware of what was happening all day out there? Um, I’ve looked at the leaderboard maybe on 15 and I was like, I’m too back and but then knowing like the last few holes here at DF can be quite challenging. So, I was like, I’ll just take the game plan and just keep trying to give myself chances and just hope those chances drop. But yeah, just pretty much game plan regardless what happens. We did more than that. Five under final round. You won in Kenya leading from the front. You won in Germany leading from the front. Today you did the ultimate chase. Seven shots back to win by one shot. I mean, can you quite believe this? I mean, I would say kind of, but at the same time, it’s like I’ve seen so many stories where people have came back being like 10 shots back and stuff. So, it’s never over till it’s till your balls in the hole on the last hole. So, yeah, just never give up, I guess. And aside from the victory and now being a three-time le winner, you are the number one in the order of merit as it stands. At the beginning of the week, you said you want want to think about it too much. Well, now you’re there. What does that mean to you? I mean, yeah, I think it’s good progress. Like, I mean, just I’ve just been trusting the process this whole year, this whole season, and still got three more events to go. So, I’ll just keep giving it all I can give and yeah, that’s all I can do. It’s been such a fantastic season for you. So consistent, so many runners up, a win, now a second win. I mean, what do you put this fantastic play down to? Um, I mean, I would say mostly my ball striking. Um, not sure if I’m still leading the tour in greens and racks and driving accuracy, but I think that definitely does play a big part. Like if you put yourself in position, it’s easier to then like give yourself more body chances and stuff. So, mostly just the ball striking, I guess. And if the putter’s hot, then it goes well. And this win, is there anyone you’d like to thank in particular? I mean, there’s a lot of people that I want to thank, like people who have been there for me throughout my whole career. um Simon who was out there for me like this weekend I mean this whole year and he’s just there for me if I need someone to talk to if I’m there needing help with anything and yeah he’s been a great caddy so far and I’m really happy with how we’ve been working and like my coach and my manager my parents people back home in Singapore and yeah too many people to thank but I’m just really grateful for all of them and a week off now before Taiwan the next event are you going to go home how are you going to I know it’s still raw but how are you going to celebrate this win um I’m going to go home tonight. Um, might go get, I don’t know, a good dinner tomorrow or something. Uh, see my grandma, see my parents, and still got to practice though for the rest of the season. So, yeah. Well, very well done to Channon. Thank you.
