Waynesboro, Pa. (October 11, 2025) – Shawn Williams led Alvernia University with an even par round of 72 on day one of the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic Saturday at Waynesboro Country Club.
The Golden Wolves recorded a team score of 320 and are in 15th place after the first round.
Shawn Williams fired in an even par round of 72 and is in a tie for ninth place after day one. Williams recorded five birdies and eight pars on the day.
Chase Smith recorded the second best round of the day for the Golden Wolves with a 77 on day one and is in a tie for 40th place. Smith recorded one birdie on the day and tallied 11 pars on the day including a stretch of six pars in a row.
Matthew Gagliardi recorded a round one score of 85 and is tied for 85th. Gagliardi recorded eight pars on the day.
Matt Davies recorded a round of 86 on day one and is in a tie for 90th place. Davies carded one birdie on the day and six pars.
Matthew Overholt recorded a round one score of 87 and is in a tie for 92nd. Overholt recorded eight pars on the day.
