The 2025 Baycurrent Classic, formerly known as the Zozo Championship on the PGA Tour, is the lone event on the schedule in Japan. The now seven-year-old tournament concludes Sunday (Saturday night for those watching in the U.S.) at Yokohama Country Club in Yokohama, Japan.

It may not be the most well-known event on the PGA Tour, but there’s a very popular name tied for the lead after 54 holes. Xander Schauffele turned in scores of 71, 63 and 67 to enter the final round at 12 under par along with Max Greyserman, who held the outright lead after each of the first two rounds.

It’s a limited field event with 78 players with no cut, so everyone made the weekend and they’re all on the course for Sunday’s final round. Follow along for live updates, scores, highlights and more.

In search of PGA Tour win No. 10, Xander Schauffele leads Max Greyserman by one shot with two par 4s to play. Michael Thorbjornsen bogeys the 16th and falls three behind Schauffele, so it’s a two-horse race for the title. Greyserman finished a shot behind winner Nico Echavarria last year.

Xander Schauffele hasn’t tasted victory in more than a year but he can almost taste it now after rolling in a 22-foot birdie putt at 14 to regain the solo lead. It was his second straight birdie and lifted him to 18 under, a stroke better than Max Greyserman and two ahead of Michael Thorbjornsen. While X-man is seeking his 10th Tour title, his closest competitors are both seeking their first. Still four holes to go but Schauffele has that look in his eye that has helped make him a two-time major champion.

Xander Schauffele, Michael Thorbjornsen and Max Greyserman are all tied at 16 under with six holes left in Japan. Buckle up for a fun finish.

Matt McCarty birdied eight of the nine holes on the front nine Sunday in Japan, needing par on the last to shoot 59, but he hit his tee shot out of bounds and ended with a bogey on the ninth, his final hole, to sign for 60. Not bad, but that has to taste bad after such an incredible stretch coming home. 11-under 60 to close for McCarty, who finishes at 11 under for the tournament.

He hasn’t won this year, but with eight holes to play in Japan, Xander Schauffele (-16) holds a one-shot lead over Max Greyserman and Michael Thorbjornsen. Those three, playing in the final group, have some separation at the top.

All 78 golfers in the field are on the course at Yokohama CC and Xander Schauffele, who is seeking his 10th career Tour title, has pulled ahead in the early going at 13 under par after three holes. Max Greyersman made a bogey at three to fall one stroke back in his pursuit of his first victory on Tour. With birdies on three of the first four holes, Ben An has pulled within a shot of the lead. He, too, would love to notch his first win on Tour as would Alex Smalley, who is off to a hot start as well with four birdies in his first six holes to sit two back along with defending champ Nico Echavarria. Also hot: Japan’s Kazuki Higa, who reeled off five birdies in a row starting at No. 4 to shoot 31 on the front and improve to 9 under.

What happened in the third round?

U.S. Ryder Cupper and two-time major champion Xander Schauffele fired a 4-under 67 to tie Max Greyserman’s lead at 12 under. Greyserman, who led after each of the first two rounds, shot even-par 70.

Those two men are three shots clear of the field, but there are some familiar faces in the hunt. Si Woo Kim, Ben An, Nico Echavarria, Michael Thorbjornsen and Garrick Higgo, who nearly won the Sanderson Farms Championship last week, are all part of a five-way tied for third at 9 under entering the final round. Min Woo Lee and Sahith Theegala are not far behind at 8 under, in a tie for eighth.

Sungjae Im got into red numbers with a 4-under 67 in the third round after a pedestrian showing the first few days, while Ryder Cuppers Collin Morikawa and Rasmus Hojgaard struggled to the tune of a pair of 1-over 71s.

Who’s in the field at the 2025 Baycurrent Classic?

Defending champion Nico Echavarria, who beat Justin Thomas and Max Greyserman by a shot in 2024, returns to defend. Also teeing it up in Japan will be Hideki Matsuyama, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Adam Scott and more. Tony Finau was in the field but withdrew Monday and replaced by Sam Ryder. Matsuyama and Morikawa are the other two past champs in the field.
