STOCKTON, Calif. — A fourth-place finish from Ian Maspat helped San Diego men’s golf finish third of 17 teams on Saturday afternoon at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
Maspat carded rounds of 64, 70, and 74 to go eight under. As a team, USD was 22 under par.
He was followed by freshman Reed Arnaldo, who was tied for ninth place and six under par after rounds of 70, 73, and 67 strokes.
You Seong Choi finished in a tie for 20th place and was three under par (72, 70, 71).
Charlie Gillespie checked in at -2 and T-23 with scores of 72, 70, and 72, and Cooper Humphreys rounded out the Toreros’ results with a T-34, +2 finish that saw him shoot 74, 72, and 72.
Reid Piron finished in a tie for 20th place and was three under following rounds of 71, 68, and 74.
The Toreros are back in action on Monday, October 27, when they travel to Monterey, California to compete in The Preserve Collegiate, hosted by Cal Poly at The Preserve Golf Club.
