presented by Madrid. Hi Patrick, how are you? I’m doing well, thank you. Thank you so much for being with us one more year here in Madrid. I hope you’re still enjoying the city. We know that you’re enjoying the tournament because you’re playing really good. Thank you. Yeah. No, the city is unbelievable. Um I fell in love with it uh last year when I came and uh you know, it just never disappoints this year and yeah, the golf course is playing really well. It’s a unbelievable golf course. You have to hit a bunch of different golf shots and uh you know, yeah, we’re having fun. Just uh need to put it all together for the next uh next two days and hopefully late Sunday we have an opportunity. Could you describe I mean considering the conditions the weather you played yesterday in the afternoon today you played early in the morning how the conditions have changed between yesterday and today? Yeah, I mean obviously this morning with it being colder and it almost seemed like it was windier this morning, uh the ball just wasn’t really traveling and then obviously as it warms up the ball travels a long way around here and uh it’s hard to see say how different it played cuz yesterday I didn’t hit a fairway or it felt like I didn’t hit a green either, but I made every putt I looked at and today and today I hit most of the fairways and almost all the greens and felt like I didn’t really make much. So, um, yeah, it was kind of a tale of two, uh, two rounds. Um, yesterday ball striking wasn’t where I wanted it to be, but short game was on point and today I felt like I hit it really well and, you know, hit a lot of I felt like I hit a lot of good putts. It just burned a lot of edges. So, uh, you know, we’ll just get both of those to mold together for the weekend and, you know, we should be off to the races. Last year, you finished 10th here, a good tournament, but you after that, well, not everything, but you play really good. Erh, you won on the Asenten tour. You won in leaf golf as well, right? Congratulations. Thank you. You play a nice masters as well. Yeah. And what’s what’s the next what’s the your goals for the rest of the season and next season? No, really biggest thing is um hopefully have more opportunities to win golf tournaments and hopefully close off a couple more uh couple more wins. Um it’d be nice to, you know, win one of these DP World Tour events. That’s that’s the only tour that I haven’t won on yet. So, um, you know, after winning on the Asian tour there, I have a PGA tour victories. I have majors and, uh, world golf championships and live. So, we just need one out here to get get them all. But, uh, yeah, I mean, the biggest thing is just kind of keep on plugging away and keep on working on the things my coach and I are working on and um, you know, really just going out there and, you know, taking on every shot and really just giving myself opportunities. I feel like the the most uh, the more opportunities I have late on Sunday, the better off we’re gonna be. your your second time here in in Madrid. Uh how will you say to everybody to come to this city? Why they have to come to this city? Oh, I mean the biggest reason why you have to come to the city, I mean it’s not just the food, but the architecture downtown. We’re staying in a different part of Madrid this time is unbelievable. And uh you know with how many people are walking around, they make you they make you feel like you’re at home. I mean just that that kind of you know comforting and just you know happiness you feel with all the people and and you know it see feels genuine. It’s one of these one of these cities you definitely want to come uh not only to work at but you know come have a vacation come hang out and uh have a good time. Patrick, as a fan and forgetting that we have cameras here, considering that that you’ve played three RDER Cup, how do you leave the competition and uh those three days and how did you felt on on on Sunday with all that happened? Yeah. Um honestly, after Saturday, I was seeing kind of how well the European squad was playing. I mean, I thought it was just going to be just a demolishing, but um you know, while I end up I was flying to Scotland during the uh singles, so I didn’t get to see it. But then when I landed and saw all the red and saw that we might actually have a chance to win it, it uh it was awesome to see. It was awesome to see see the guys bounce back and play uh play some really good golf to I mean, realistically have a chance to to win the RDER Cup. But um yeah, I mean you know hopefully we can take that momentum from you know that Sunday kind of forward cuz uh let’s be honest those first two days if on the US side was not uh was not fun but at the same time I mean the way that that uh European team played on Friday and Saturday I mean I don’t know who was going to beat them. Uh Patrick, uh thank you in the name of all the city of Madrid, in the name of the tournament and also in the name of the European tour because you’re one of those guys coming here to Europe uh uh a lot of times and we really really appreciate that you do that. So thank you so much in the name of of all of us. Thanks guys. Thank you presented by Madrid.
