I picked up more of his belongings and discovered this. I picked up golf two years ago after his passing and have been regularly using his 96 Scotty but just discovered this in his attic this past week.

Replica of Bobby Jones’ famed personal putter.

No but it is quite interesting, and it makes a good keepsake.

As others have said it is a replica of Bobby Jones putter that he nicknamed Calamity Jane. When Spalding made a version of it in the 1930s with a hickory shaft they even put neck whipping at two points along the shaft where Jones had put them because he thought the shaft was weaker in those spots! Give it a go! I still often use a Wilson Staff putter from the 1960s based on the Designed By Arnold Palmer they made.

My grandfather had a runner-up club that was great just off the greens. It had a bit of loft to it to get the ball over the fringe and running on the green.

Back when putters had loft. If your ball was blocking your opponents you didn’t have to mark it and they would have to go over it.
