The PGA TOUR has just five events left in the FedExCup Fall – and three of them are outside of the United States starting this week with a stop in Japan. The Baycurrent Classic heads to a new golf course for 2025, Yokohama Country Club. It’s as important a time as any for those outside of the top 100 in the FedExCup Fall standings to earn valuable points in order to lock up full status for 2026. Past champion Collin Morikawa is back in action as he looks to find the winner’s circle for the first time since this tournament in 2023. Xander Schauffele returns to the PGA TOUR for the first time since the BMW Championship – and for the first time since becoming a father. The nine-time PGA TOUR winner has two top 10s in his last four starts without a win this season. Other names to look for include Hideki Matsuyama, Tony Finau, and Max Homa.

Xander Schoffley making his presence felt. Yeah. Biggest name in the field. You just know he’s going to be a factor come tomorrow afternoon. Very reachable par fives on the front side at four and six. Shoffley trying to get home at two on the fourth. Yeah, incredible from a hanging lie ball well above his feet right up the middle of the green. He has the for eagle 184 ball speed usually works on a par five up the left side absolutely perfect for the year he hits less than 54% of fairways through the first two rounds he was more than 75% on this second shot probably closer to a 200 yard Well, not his best, but that is the place to miss it. And you can put so much spin on the golf ball off this these Zoya fairways. Ah, more of a runner. Yeah, really nicely done. You can see just a squarefaced chaser. If you make this to be three under power through six holes in these conditions is really impressive even for the world’s number four. Nicely done. Well, Craig, you pull it back. The last 24 holes. Andrew Schoffley is 11 under par. Turning towards that bunker. But I think this club would take that out of play. It’s like it’s perched up on a tea. And a very good looking shot if it’s an off club. Certainly is. Beautiful. And in all honesty, he was probably looking two or three paces left of that hole. So Se was tapped in for his bogey. So he’s back at 11 under. This is to take the lead. Well, that didn’t take long for world number four to vault to the top of the leaderboard. Four under par. Another one from this distance. Center of the green would be more than acceptable. It’s come out left and down in the bunker. That is going to be a long difficult bunker shot from there up the tier. Got to risk trying to get as close to the ball as possible with the contact. That’s predictable the rally from there. You don’t send one over the green to avoid a bogey. Wow, that is working man there. And Panama’s the hattip. Mediocre second shot into that bunker. Decent bunker shot to here and then. Wow. Craig mentioned difficult reading everything right there. Uh hit hard as well, but going to miss left. Should find the short grass though. It’s not a bad place to be playing from either. Three good T- shots. Stay difficult par putts. Just hit it firm enough to keep it on its line. Yeah. It was really good. Well, this is correct. Start in the center. Just a beautiful little cut. Yeah, textbook. It’s going to be snapping around the hole. Glancing blow on that left edge of the cup is for Park. We saw Xander carry the Spunky yesterday. He certainly has the firepower to do it. Then you reduce it to just a short wedge. Takes a good strike though. Given that one a little extra. Yeah. Now Small having missed that short putt on the previous green trying to bounce back. He hasn’t been tremendously good with the short wedges today. This one looks better. Oh yeah, very good. And a great look at the birdie. Oh, really well done. That’s such a great view there that we had. Yeah, that ward is absolutely in play from this forward T. And this is a beauty starting left and cutting. He’s had pretty good control of that gentle fade off the tea with the driver. He’s driven it pretty nicely today, hasn’t he? Should be the right club and struck very well turning towards the flag. Oh, and it’s deep. It seemed like a lot of club. A sixiron from there. Probably in between. Obviously didn’t want to leave it short. Shoffley for birdie down the hill. Will pick up speed now. [Music] Really nicely done there, guys. Yeah, well judged with the speed. That was the most important thing. came in as a tournament favorite, fourth ranked player in the world. He’s a co-leader with 18 holes to go, trying to win the Bait Current Classic for the first time in his career. Thanks for watching the PJ Tour. To watch more, click here. To subscribe, click here.
