The Savannah Bananas have taken the sports world by storm, selling out every MLB park they play in and even selling out football stadiums that seat up to 80,000 people. And as a current player for the Savannah Bananas, I get asked one question all the time. How do you become a Savannah Banana? Now, of course, anyone who becomes a Savannah Banana has to be good on social media, good with the fans. You got to be able to play some ball and maybe even do some acrobatics. But step one on the road to the greatest show in sports is attending a banana ball tryyout. And that is what I’m going to be doing today. But there’s one catch. I will be undercover as Mile de Crusero. Come on, send it. It’s a good outfit right there, ladies and gentlemen. What’s your name? Antonio. No, it’s not. Hey, is this right? Here’s the deal. I was I was supposed to be uh like have a luchidor mask and then it’s Amazon said it would be here by Friday and it was not here by Friday. So, one key part to this costume is not here, and that’s the mask. Luckily, I got I I knew that something could go wrong, so I got a morph suit just in case. So, this covers like everything. Everything. Another thing I don’t love is that this goes over my hands, so like I can’t like like when I’m throwing the ball, like I have got these on. Also, it’s going to be freaking hot. Oh, wait. It’s backwards. Hold on. Zipper’s definitely supposed to go in the back. Just wait till you guys see the the this whole fit. It’s sick. This is the birth of a new character. Mile de Crusero will be, Lord willing, a longtime character on the channel. Yeah, me. I’m a M de Crusero. I don’t know. How you doing? Might need some of y’all’s help for this part. The only thing is I keep getting my hair in the zipper. [Music] I’m telling you guys, with this when I put this robe on, it goes so hard. Oh, I’m going to be so hot in this. It’s the price you have to pay to look fabulous. Yeah. Yeah. I don’t think I should wear my Crocs. These are the only other shoes I brought. So, we’re cleaning up now. Can you untie this for me? How do they do it? How do they Is the bow too cute? I’m supposed to be intimidating. That’s okay. What’s up, vlog? We’re at Vanderbilt University right now and I’m about to go to a bananas try out and I’m going to be filming on a GoPro. I never film on a GoPro, but I figured if I brought my whole big camera rig that I normally have, they would definitely suspect. So, I’m waiting right now for the go from Barry Aldridge. He’s my inside man. He’s going to tell me when I’m good to go. I’m going to roll up late. I want to stay undercover as long as possible. Goal number one, I want them to take interest. I actually want to like make the team. But goal number two, I want them to not find out. I think this is going to be so funny to see my coach’s reaction at the end of this thing. And I want to see what they say about me throughout the entirety of it, too. I’ve got Ian who works for the Bananas, and he miked up Gil and Vro, the coaches of the Savannah Bananas. And so, he’s going to have their dialogue this entire thing. We’re going to be able to see what they say about me, but I want to just drop little hints throughout the entirety of the video, whether it’s a backflip catch or maybe just the way my swing look. It’s my goal that they do not find out that I am Coach Rack until the end of the video. As soon as someone figures it out, the video ends. Hello. Hi. Hi. It’s so funny saying hi to people in this. Another crazy side note. Last night we played up the street at Nissan Stadium and I hit a home run and made a backflip catch. It was like one of my best games of my life. And now just a few hours later I’m here trying out for the bananas. H. This is too good. I think I’m at the stadium. You guys, I’m going to be honest. I cannot see like out of this mask that good at all. Like I can’t see faces. I can’t even tell like people that are walking nearby what they look like. I’m a little bit worried. A little bit worried. I get a text from Barry. I can’t even read the phone. I thought I would for sure be able to see out of the morph suit and like I could see good enough but like to hit a baseball like I don’t know. What I really don’t want to happen is to go to this try out and then suck. I would hate that. I want to play good. I didn’t even factor this in at all. I’m supposed to walk in super late so that they don’t like have so that I don’t have to talk to Gillum and Virro, but like it’s so funny to me. I think this morph suit was actually a good call because this longer I’m staying out here, the more people I talk to, the more I think actually like my cover is like totally good right now. So, we’re going to try to show off in the outfield section a little bit. Maybe try to rip a back flip catch. I’ll say it though, it’s really tough to see. Like I I don’t know if I’m going to be able to do it, but I’m going to give him my best shot, though. So, let’s do this thing. I’m going to try to freaking leave the yard and then if I do anything cool in this scrimmage, I’m just going to drop dead and reveal. Like if I Okay, if I homer and then can take the mask off rounding the bases, my life is complete. That would be the coolest freaking thing of all time. And here’s the thing, guys. I got to go put in the work.” There were days that I felt like that in pro ball. There were some days I felt like that in college. And that’s okay. you can still get your work in, do whatever. Genuinely with Banana Ball, it is so much fun being a part of one of these teams and you will have brothers for life uh whatever team you end up on.
