Congratulations to Great Torrington Golf Club, winners of the North Devon Rose Bowl after a superb 3.5 – 1.5 victory over the Saunton Artisans in a final staged at Royal North Devon Golf Club.
Victory was sealed by a blistering start from the Great Torrington team, as the pairs of Dan Copp and Euan Greenslade, captain Simon Higgins and Tom Davey, and Craig McConnachie and Adam Mitchell all won their matches for an unassailable lead. Mark Beer, Callum Gardner, Shaun Loze and Zac Sanders completed the triumphant ten.
As well as success on the senior side, Great Torrington Golf Club was recently awarded the Junior Hub Award by England Golf and The England Golf Foundation. The England Golf statement said: “It is great to see the positive work that the club are doing to support juniors and the opportunities you are providing for young people to learn and play golf.”
