LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women’s Golf continues fall play on Monday with their first three-day tournament, taking part in the Golf Iconic Classic hosted by New Mexico State at their campus course from Las Cruces, N.M.
Hosted at the New Mexico State University Golf Course, the tournament field is scheduled to include 19 teams for three busy days of golf, with one round scheduled each day of the tournament.
Long Beach State’s lineup will be led by junior Erin Lee who is coming off of her best finish of the year. Lee placed third overall at the Molly Collegiate Invitational in Corvallis, Ore., finishing on the podium for the second time in her career on the strength of two rounds under par to finish the tournament.
Madison Le was forced to withdraw and will be replaced by Kailey Yoon in the second spot, while Alyson Sor had her first Top 20 finish at the Beach in Oregon and will play third. Junior Emma Kang and freshman Chloe Park will round out the lineup for the Beach.
Along with the hosts and Long Beach State, the tournament field is scheduled to include UC Riverside, Northern Arizona, Texas-Arlington, Santa Clara, Northern Colorado, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, San Diego State, UTEP, Southern Utah, Nevada, Boise State, Eastern Kentucky, Sacramento State, Jacksonville State, Incarnate Word, Houston Christian and UC Irvine.
Long Beach State has participated in this tournament in three of the first four seasons under the leadership of Alyssa Waite, and were the tournament champions in their last trip during the Fall of 2023.
