The 2025 Trillium Cup wrapped up this weekend at Trillium Wood Golf Club after two days of friendly but fierce competition.

The Ryder Cup–style event featured two teams of 18 golfers going head-to-head in a mix of formats — alternate shot, best ball, and singles — all battling for bragging rights and the coveted Cup.

When the final scores were tallied, it was Team Jenkins, captained by Jodie Jenkins, who came out on top, edging out the defending Team Coolen, led by Kyle Coolen, by a score of 19.5 to 16.5.

The weekend saw plenty of great golf and memorable moments. Jake Moffatt and Dave Groskopf were named Team MVPs after going a perfect 3-0 in their matches.

Other key contributors included Jerry Traer, John Tuer, Brian Bunnett, and Chandler Betteridge, who all delivered clutch wins to help secure the Cup for Team Jenkins.

“This event has really become something special for our members,” said Steve McCurdy, President of Trillium Wood Golf Club. “The level of play, the camaraderie, and the fun atmosphere make it one of the best weekends of the year here at the club. Congratulations to both teams on another great Trillium Cup.”

The Trillium Cup continues to grow each year, bringing together great friends, great golf, and a whole lot of friendly competition at Trillium Wood.
