I have never done heroin so I have no idea what they’re talking about.
Can someone more experienced with drugs please explain what heroin feels like?

As someone who has loved both and still partakes in one, study can F right off.

I read a book once where they studied gamblers, specifically slot machine behavior. The #1 reason people kept playing was the uncertainty of outcome. They may win nothing, they might win a portion of their bet back, they may win more than their bet. This is what kept people playing.
There is an evolutionary reason for this. When we were looking for food sources where we expected food to be and there was none or little, we’d keep looking. This helped us survive obviously.
When I read this I immediately thought of golf. Is there any other sport with less certainty of outcome than golf? I could not think of one.
I shot 105 followed by an 81 a week later for example. Every golfer has done similar.

Please, I quit golf all of the time. I can stop whenever I want. I just choose not to quit, big difference 👀

As a current golf addict and former heroin addict, I can concur to a point. I almost died a couple times, can’t say that’s ever happened on the course. I will say I think about golf a lot when I’m not playing just like I’d think about getting high when I wasn’t.

I thought heroin was a lot more fun than 3 hours of disappointing yourself and knowing you could do better.

I’ll never forget when I stole my neighbor’s tools and pawned them so I could walk a course at twilight

I would say it’s more like Crack. You’re just chasing that high of that last good shot you played.

It’s on my bucket list when I am old, retired, and widowed. Ill report back in 40 years or so.

Golf is interesting, you can have the shittest 17 holes you ever played and hit a birdie on the 18. Now you wanna go for another 9, been there done that 😂

Funny. I quit this dumb activity (not a sport) three years ago and haven’t looked back.

Oh so that’s what all those zombies who be sleeping standing up are doing. Waiting to golf. Makes sense

I’ve recently realized the similarities with surfing, you need a million little things for it to go right so when you hit a good shot and catch a wave it’s thrilling

Also A golf addiction will cost you far more $$$ than a heroin addiction. 🤦🏻♂️
