Spinning reels versus bait casters. What’s the difference and when should you actually use each one? Spinning reels are your go-to for finesse fishing. Lighter lines and smaller baits. They’re easier to cast, especially in the wind, and perfect for beginners. Use a spinning reel for stuff like Ned rigs, drop shots, weightless senkos, or anything else that is finesse. Bait casters shine when you’re throwing heavier lures, fishing cover, and you just need more accuracy. On bait casters, you should use jigs, Texas rigs, chatterbaits, frogs, or even deep cranks. Don’t over complicate it. You can catch fish on either setup. Tag a friend and hit the follow button.

  1. But what they not to play with with the bait caster in the wind but it don’t really aggravate me when I get burned nest my first bait caster was a $300 one I still got it

  2. It's depends on the bait your using and the water or idk if you using a light bait I'd say a spinning reel but for bigger baits I say bait casters but if your getting into fishing or skipping baits I'd use a spinning rod if you know what your doing then use a baitcaster

  3. Spinner, ride till I die bro, for everything. Left a $60 BlackMax sitting on a rock for some lucky whoever after trying it out a few times thinking I had it dialed only to have it nest on me 3 times. Maybe I suck. Either way spinners for me.

  4. A bait finesse casting reel is great for lite lines and accurate casts. No line twist either. It doesn't hold as much line though and also stuggles eith bobbers.

  5. if you use a lot of time spining you can hit spots even 120 m when i go for carp, baitcast was meant for super fast casting

  6. Actually if you, like me have some issues with hands (especially fingers, like dermatitis) it make some troubles to operate lure while casting with enertionless reel. But baitcasting reel is holded like handle so you don't need to move your fingers to make a perfect cast
P.s I am fishing in Siberia with baitcasting reel, it is actually comfortable to use spinner spoons or regular spoons to catch a nice pike, and now iam waiting for delivery new telescopic rod with 1-7 gram test to catch some grayling or trout in fast river

  7. Whoa whoa whoa accuracy? Just use a zebco the are just as accurate but don’t cast as far (if you need accuracy why r I casting far)

  8. I use spinning for saltwater cz it's easy to clean, for lighter lure in freshwater i use bfs

  9. In europe baitcasters are either used for surf casting, in the form of a conventional or used for pike and thats about it. And the people who use them specific bait rods for zander or perch are a little autistic.

  10. They do make different specs for both of these reels you can get a bfs for finesse fishing with a bait caster and a heavy spinning reel and rod for working heavy rigs but generally, yeah true

  11. Everyone complaining bout birds nest have a skill issue. I’ve never had a birds nest and only mildly backlash once in a blue moon. Bait casters are far superior because of the gear ratios and control as well as retrieval time. I love spinning but bait casters are on top for me, especially while bass fishing.

  12. Here's the actual difference

A baitcaster is a waste of f**** money

Spinning reel actually get your fish and not birds nest if you look at it wrong
