Justin Thomas, Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele, and Keegan Bradley will put their money on the line when ‘The Skins Game’ returns to TV screens after 17 years next month.

The four PGA Tour stars will compete in the $4 million match at Panther National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on Black Friday, with the action to be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video. Coverage will begin at 9 a.m. ET on Nov. 28.

The event was first contested by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, and Tom Watson in 1983, but it has not been held since 2008. The broadcast will be produced by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports alongside Propgate Content and Pro Shop Productions, the company behind Netflix series ‘Full Swing,’ which returns for its fourth series in 2026.

The event will be the first part of a Black Friday quadruple header on Amazon Prime, leading into the NFL matchup between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles before two NBA games in the evening.

Skins Game returns with a revamped format called reverse purse, with each player starting with $1 million to their name, and they will gain or lose money depending on their performances on each hole.

It has not been confirmed if the players are staking their own money, as players typically do in the skins format. However, a promotional video says the players will not receive appearance fees, meaning their only chance to profit is by playing well on the course.

“We’ve taken up the mantle to bring back ‘The Skins Game’ and reclaim its rightful place on the sports calendar,” Pro Shop President Chad Mumm said.

“By keeping the traditional format intact and adding some creative twists, we’re giving fans an experience that honors the past while delivering pure, high-stakes competition where the pressure builds with every shot.”

The return of ‘The Skins Game’ is the latest example of the PGA Tour investing in made-for-TV content around the holidays. On Dec. 17, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler will star in the inaugural ‘Golf Channel Games,” which has been inspired by All-Star skills challenge events held by the NBA, NFL, and other leagues.

“The PGA Tour is proud to bring back the iconic ‘Skins Game’ as the kickoff to the sports calendar’s biggest day of the year,” Chris Wandell, the PGA Tour senior vice president for media, said.
