The Wildcats dominate day one of the NB3 Matchplay by winning both matches and dropping only one individual match. The Cats beat New Mexico State in match one, 4-1 and beat New Mexico in the afternoon, 5-0. Arizona sits in first place with nine total points headed into their final match versus Texas A&M, who are just one point behind the Cats.

In match one, Nena Wongthanavimok won her match 5&3 against Sophia Luna. Kinsley Ni won in dominant fashion, 6&5, versus Alexandria Armendariz. Charlotte Back and Angela Arora both won their matches 3&2. The Wildcats were up after almost every hole during the morning round. 

In the second match, Nena Wongthanavimok won 6&4 against New Mexico’s Ava Cepeda. Kinsley Ni was down a hole with four to play and ended up winning 2&1. Charlotte Back was down after 10 of the first 12 holes but had six birdies from hole 11 to 17. She won her match 3&1. Julia Misemer was never tied or trailed in her match winning 5&4. Sara Vitasek was down a hole early in her match but fought back winning 3&1.
