If you’ve ever thought about sending your old Ping clubs back to them to send through their tumble process and refurbish them, do it. My dad died a few years ago and this was his favorite club in his bag. He called it his “old money maker”. I thought my dad would appreciate his favorite club looking nice again and I wanted to do this while he was still alive so he could hang it on his wall and appreciate it. Unfortunately I never got the chance to do that for him. Now that I own it, I really felt like it needed to be done. I found a local golf shop in my area that works with Ping and they sent it back to the factory to get tumbled and have a new grip and shaft put on it. This thing looks brand new and I couldn’t be happier. Now I’ll be able to putt doubles and triples with a good looking putter! Thank you Ping for taking good care of my dad’s favorite club and giving it some new life. (Sorry for the long rant everyone)

What did they charge for this? I have **Several** old Ping putters that belonged to my dad and wouldn’t mind cleaning up at least a couple of them.

**Edit** I saw your answer below of $110. Thank you for sharing!

You can ship directly to Ping to avoid the middle man.

Just fill out this form and in the “Additional Instructions” section write “full refurbishment of club head.”

Be sure to check the “Re-Grip” option as well.

I really need to do this with my grandpas old ping i3 clubs that I started playing with. They have his name engraved in all of them.

I have an old ping that I was considering having face milled cause it has a bunch of dings and scuffs on it. Can’t find a machine shop that is willing to attempt it. This is pretty sweet though.

I have one of those putters and I love it! I prob should invest in a new putter, maybe it will help me shave a couple of strokes. How much did it cost to get it re-done?

PING is legit, and honestly I have a hard time looking elsewhere for clubs because their customer service & warranty team is so solid. Great to know about the refinishing as well.

Their refurb really is amazing. They restored a g2i craz-head that’d I’d been gaming for 20 years and it looks brand new.

How did you start the process? I’d like to do this with my father in law’s Ping putter that passed away a few years ago. The results are amazing! Great way to remember your pops, too.

TIL that Ping will refurbish your vintage putter!

  12. Thanks for sending this. I use my stepfather‘s old, ping pal and absolutely love it. I had no idea this service existed.

That’s awesome OP, Dad’s old money maker looks amazing!!

Just a heads up to anyone interested in sending clubs to PING to be refurbished. You do not have to go thru an authorized PING dealer to have it done. You can contact them directly, by phone or email, to have clubs worked on. I sent them a set of G5 irons to have a shaft replaced and lie angles bent to my BIL’s specs, PING picked up the shipping costs.

Classic and will be a great weapon that never stops doing the job!

Is that grip unique to Ping? I have a very old putter with no markings at all, but it has that grip.

I did similar with my dad’s 0-blade I found while cleaning out his space after he passed. It’s wall decoration for me now. I was very impressed with the restore job they did.
