The Skins Game will return this year and will be contested on Black Friday at Panther National with Palm Beach County residents Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele and Keegan Bradley competing along with England’s Tommy Fleetwood.
Thomas is a co-designer, along with Jack Nicklaus, of the golf course located in Palm Beach Gardens. He, Schauffele and Bradley recently were part of the United States team that fell in the Ryder Cup to Team Europe – which included Fleetwood. Bradley, who lives in Palm Beach Gardens, was the American captain.

The Skins Game will be televised on Nov. 28, the day after Thanksgiving – with an exclusive Prime Video live stream starting at 9 a.m., and leading into a sports triple play on Prime that also includes college football and an NBA double-header.
The format will remain true to the traditional Skins Game structure. Each hole carries a dollar value and tied holes roll over to raise the stakes. The event also will feature a “reverse purse” – all players will begin the competition with $1 million on the scoreboard and fans can watch as the players’ fortunes rise and fall with every hole won or lost.

Originally introduced in 1983 as an unofficial money event on the PGA Tour, the Skins Game has featured competition among the top competitors in the sport, including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Fred Couples, Gary Player and Tiger Woods. It has not been held since 2008 when it was won by K.J. Choi.

By late November, the hard feelings exhibited at the Ryder Cup likely will have abated. Europe defeated the U.S. 15-13 at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, N.Y., building a solid two-day lead and then holding off the Americans.
