We’re playing some serious really good stuff today, aren’t we? That is the shot of the day by an absolute mile. That’s not my ball. That’s not your ball. [Music] Good morning, madams. Uh, I’ve got my trusty daughter with me today. Uh, we’re playing Yaslinks. Yaslinks. Abu Dhabi. absolutely buzzing for it. 7:20 a.m. tea time. Look at the size. Look at the size of this jumbo jet. That is a big bird, by the way. Um, right. Yeah. 7:20 tea time. Um, absolutely buzzing for you. It’s about 22° already. A little bit cloudy. We do not care though. We’re on the golf course. I’m going to have a beautiful day of golf. Got to go wamp some balls on the driving range. Posh one today, isn’t it? Pyramids. Little pyramids of golf balls. [Music] First hole. What we got? Half four. Nice straight one. Bunkers about 220 230 out. Nice short par four. Can go four iron fire mine or driver. Go up to the top of the uh gets far down and leave a wedge in. I think we go driver then, mate. Why not? Come on then. We good? I lost that, but I think it looks okay. It looks just up on the left. It’ll probably be left side. Yeah, we take it. Just up on the left. Boom. Gone. Right. Decent little t-shirt. I’m in the roof. If you just come follow me. Um, we’ve only got like we got 65 yards now on the first T. I’ve played this course before in a pro with Shane Lowry, right? And my first T- shot, it was over there. I mean, like over over there. Snap hook, nervous as heck, hands shaking. It’s a lot easier when there’s nobody watching you, I’ll tell you that. Anyway, I’ve got 65 yards in. See if we can stick it close. Tell you what, it’s an incredible start. Phenomenal start. It’s about 65 y. I pitched it I think about 3 or 4 foot from the pin, so it should be fairly close. I can’t see it from here, but come on then. Right. So, it’s ran a bit further than I thought it did. Have a look here. And we haven’t been on the putting green, so I haven’t got a clue how quick these are, but I know they’re rapid. I know they are. They’re like I think they’re like 11 or 12 on this stint meter today. So, I’m kind of hitting and hoping. Do you know what? Actually, we ain’t pro. Do you know what I’m going to do? Like, and there’s nobody about. Watch this. If you haven’t had a putt on the putting green, I think it’s absolutely fine if you just have a little practice quick as well. Oh, that’s fine. Right. So, it’s like quick quick but not crazy quick. What do you mean by that? It’s just quick. That’s a little bit embarrassing. Never had a chance, did you? Oh, I tell you what, if that didn’t dribble in, I’d have been sick. It’s a good start. It’s a par. It’s a solid par, isn’t it? Really? Even though that last little three-footer was [Music] Oh, it’s so good. It’s so good. Straight down the middle. Little bit of a draw. Started on the bunker right down there and it’s just gone right down the middle. I’m talking I’ll mark it for you. I’m saying that’s 300 Jazz. I am positive that’s 300 Jazz. Nearly. It’s a shame, isn’t it? Can’t complain. Middle of the fairway. Jeez, we still got 224 yards in. Do you know what, Libby? Mama didn’t raise no. All right. Seven would hit a four iron. Four iron. Mama did raise a right. You know what? It’s an unreal strike. Um, I’m actually I I play I always play to hit a bit of a draw and that’s gone completely straight. It’s on the very far right side of the green, but we’re kind of I would say I’m probably putting. So, we got this for Eagle. Come on. Ooh. Ooh. Okay. Tell you what, it just keeps going though, doesn’t it? Well, we did a ton. Solid. Really, really, really solid path. 530 yard par five. And I’m making it look like an absolute dodo again. Come on. Look at how pretty this is. It’s like I don’t know if it’s a lagoon or a sea or I ain’t got a clue to be fair, but it’s just pretty and it’s daunting. We got a par four. If you turn the camera around, it’s a dog leg lefty. Yeah, but we don’t want to dog leg it too much cuz we’ll go in the water. So, we want to kind of head up over that bunker up there. I think that’s unreal. That one in the bunker, did it? Yeah, I think so. Ooh. Wow, that come out unbelievable. It’s a bit short. We’re on the front of the green, but it came out really well. Really nice buzzing with that. What a beautiful call. See, would there be anywhere else you’d rather be at 7:48 in the morning? My bird. Apart from your bed. Um, we got a nice little 20footer for another bird. Um, I will be more than happy to walk away with the p though. I won’t lie. We’re going uphill. Let’s go. did not commit to that or hit that at all. Honestly, as the sun comes out, too. Honestly, it’s pathetic. That is a pathetic pathetic bogey. The sun’s come out though. Looks nice [Music] though. Right, fourth hole and we’re into a good old breeze. Yeah, par three. It says it’s Jeez, it’s 182 yards. Can you hear that wind though? Yeah. I’m going to wear a four iron. I think it’s a good four iron as well. Horrible. That’s the worst shot of the day by an absolute mile. I’ve like I don’t know what I’ve done, but I’ve like thick the life out of it and it’s been all of that. Look at this. Like just needless waste, fam. In here it proves just brand spankers just left and no thing. It’s fine. Don’t worry about it. I’ve got about 20 more in the back. I’m keeping that, by the way. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, no. Roll back though. No. You know what? There’s like not much else I can do. It’s all downhill, so it’s all just going to zing away. But it was a good effort, wasn’t it? Yeah, it was very good. Oh, it was a good effort, wasn’t it? Yeah, it was very good. You know what? We can’t complain after that t-shirt. We can’t complain with the bogey, though. No, right, end of the fourth hole. There’s like a little coffee stop, so we’re getting a coffee. Um, it’s still only like not even 8:00 in the morning yet, but absolutely flying around. [Music] It’s okay. It’s up on the right hand side. Uh, I just sort of fell off that little bit. It’s up on the right hand side. I think it’s fine. There’s like a bit of a drop down about that. I think I think it’s just ran off the back of the green. Um, landed it about pin high, but it just kept going basically. I think cuz it’s out the rough, you don’t really get much traction. So, look right, I’ve pitched it here. This is where it’s pitched here and this is where it’s ended up. That’s brutal, by the way. Fantastic. Give me 10 of the one. Spectacular. Give me 14 of them right now. Disappointing. We’ve got a monster. We’ve got like got like another 20 ft for power again. Ooh. Ah. Hey guys. Three stinky bogs in a row. Um, three over path through five. I think we’re playing from the tips today though. So, um, the furthest back that you can play. They’ve got like 70 markers on the TE’s. I don’t really know what that means to be honest with you. Um, but we are playing the furthest back. So, it’s going to be a test. It’s going to be a test. But, we need to get off the bogey train basically. No, this is like 450 yard par 4. Why? Just like that. Yeah, just like that. Just straight. I tell you what, right, I’ve given that everything I’ve got. We’re into a bit of a breeze as well, which makes it doubly difficult. And I still I still reckon we’re going to have 200 yards in. Jeez. 204 yards. Is it? Have I gone in? Oh, I tell you what, that is the shot of the day by an absolute mile. I’ve landed it I’ve landed it just to the right of the pin and it’s kind of came around. It looked like it might be going in for a minute, didn’t it? Yeah. Shot of the day by a country mile so far. Look at that. You little dancer. Come here. That would have been up there with one of my best birdies ever. So, this has surely got to be stroke index one or two or three or something. 460 yard par 4 bugger. Do you know what? What? Three good shots there. Three really good shot. Even the putt was a good shot. The putt was good for you. And we’re off the bogey [Music] train. It is a par five and it’s 500 536 y to the middle of the green. So get the driver out. Rip it down the middle of the fairway. On for two. Eagle. We back. We like it. Big old trusty W left side of the fairway. Let’s keep it moving. Play some good golf at the minute. Honestly, playing some good golf. I know you used to see me hitting that three stinky free bat. I’m back on the driver big time and I’m absolutely pummeling it lately as well. You know what? That’s got a real chance of getting there. It wasn’t the cleanest of strikes. I won’t lie. But do you know what? It is gunning. Like gunning. Gunning. Running. Gunning. We’re playing some serious really good stuff today, aren’t we? Yeah. Right. So, we did definitely gun it. We’ve gunned it off the back. for that. Uh driver 3wood about 580 yards. Come on the boys. Right. We can make a bird here. We can we can do it. You know what? Too fast. Oh, mate. It weren’t the worst shot. And it nearly hit the pin as well. If it didn’t turn off, that would have went in. We’ve got a birdie putt. At least a reasonable birdie putt. Ah, bugger. You know what? It’s a it’s a it’s a tapping par, right? I think I’ve had I think I’ve had four birdie putts. At least four birdie putts. Right. And we’re three over par. It’s a little bit disappointing. M, is it? Yeah, just need to get better at putting. Eighth hole, par three over water. Right. Um, it’s 182 y with a bit of breeze. So, I’m going to go five iron for safety. Nice. I think I’ve just gone in the bunker off the back. It was very straight. It’s a bit skinny, but it’s just gone through the green. I think I think I fear in fact that this requires a shot that is exceeding my capabilities. Sit. Nope. Don’t go down there. Do not go down there. I’m taking it. I’m taking it. Oh bit more. Ah never mind. That is my fourth bogey of the day and I’m four over through eight holes. Right. Ninth hole. Yeah. And no joke 490 y par 4. Wow. Water all down the right, bunkers all at the left. Actually, these bunkers on the right as well, to be fair. Um, so I think I just need to hit the fairway. Yeah. Stay there. Get in the fairway. Oh, she’s absolutely sound as a pound. It weren’t the cleanest hit in the world, but it’s in the middle of the valley. Can you like do me a favor? Um, let me know what you think. Four overp through eight holes. I think the rain. It’s raining. It actually is raining. I just felt a drop of rain as well. What’s it raining in the desert for? It can’t rain in the desert. Right. Long way to go, but I’ve got a little bit of a breeze behind me. So, I’m going to actually hit a four iron. That bounced really hard. It’s about as good as I’ve got. And it’s I think we’re on the green. I think we’re on the green. It’s just to the right of If I’m on the green, it’s on the right side of the green, but it’s as good as I’ve got. 12 seconds later. I’ve got a really bad feeling about this. We were miles off. That was awful. I got so giddy about absolutely zilcho. We’re about We’re like 70 yards short as well. I’ve done well to finish there in fairness. That was like a three-wood all day long. I don’t know who I think I am live. Honestly, I don’t. Ooh, drop. Sit down. It’s still rolling. My ball’s rolling back down the hill right now as we speak. That’s going to be a naughty putt. Come on. That’s not my ball. That’s not your ball. No, that ball is It’s a tailor made same as mine, but it’s got practice on the side. Right, we’ve had a bit of a stinker here. So, I’ve hit that ball thinking it was mine 100 yards short. Um, it’s got practice on the side of it, so it’s not my ball. It hasn’t got the fuzzcast on it. However, I’ve got up to the green pin. That right there is my ball. That’s my Foscast ball. I’m going to have to play [Music] it. Drop it here. Yeah. Wash now. And I’m playing four now from here. Okay. It’s a little bit unlucky. A little bit unfortunate actually. I’m over the moon with that. I am over the moon with that. Right. Come on. Let’s put this in. It’s not the worst bogey in the world. I feel like we had some bad luck on this hole. Yeah. Little bit unfortunate, is it? You know what? That’s heartbreaking in fact because that’s the only six the only six on the scorecard comes on the ninth hole and we’re talking right there you go. Um disappoint six on the last. It’s not the end of the world though. So we finish six over par. Six over par for the front nine. Eight at Yaslings. Playing off the tips. I think I actually played really really well. [Music]
